Woz01
With the way the rules seem to be we could easily see draft riders as heatleaders and vice versa
Woz01
Sorry. The optimistic thing was in referral to the managements strange idea of this being a good signing. The thing with Garrity is that there are other teams with riders on a par with garrity AT reserve i.e.: Auty Newman Howarth Kerr but we have the strange decision of using him in the main body of the team. In anyones book Garrity and Bates is better than Sarjeant and Bates especially with Sarjeants very obvious problems of not being able to start the race at the same time as everyone else. For whatever reason Garrity didn't want to be part of the draft, makes no sense to me now they can move up. Although I would say at PL level Garrity is a better rider than those you named (averages 1.5 more than some of those at PL level) but most of those will soon move up to the 1-5 after 4 meetings anyway so will be interesting to see who will do well when moving up. (Don't shoot the messenger - I'm only repeating what it says in the SS!!) Coventry have allotted a team place young Kacper Woryna & it has been reported the Pirates were also interested in him ... The Bees " SUPPORTERS " seem to be little unhappy to say the least ... What reaction do you think the Pirates fans would given to the lad , who I must admit I have never heard of or seen ride ( I suspect I am not alone in this ) Could it of been as negative ? Give the lad a chance I say !!
Game On
This highlights the problem even more as theres virtually no chance of our reserves doing that so some teams will be having second strings at reserves to bag a load of points. We won't.. Yep I know what we will be doing, propping up the basement.

We won't.. I think Poole fans are pissin themselves laughing and well happy they didn't get him...!!!! Exactly what I have been saying. Poole for example, Newman moves into the team Andersen or Buczkowski could drop down to reserve without scoring too badly... Where as we have a young Pole. CB252
Whilst Poole fans probably find it amusing, the gravity of the situation is that we now have a position where Poole will not lose a single meeting all season. A top 5 of Holder, Watt, Buck, Andersen and Kurtz will give them 4 riders better than most teams no 1s. I suppose an unbeaten season is all they've got left to 'achieve' though to be fair.
kingbee
Compare our team to Poole when it is announced it will make you laugh blame the promoters for letting Poole win the league every year
Robert Lee
Oi! I'm getting a bit fed up of you English armchair critics impugning my ability on a speedway bike. If you are not careful I'll tell uncle Mick to stick his £100/point and I'll go & ride for that South Coast lot. CB252
And what would be the problem with Garrity being and staying a heat leader?? If he's good enough he'll be ok - if he's not , then he won't!. I think the point is that he'll be a heat leader by default regardless of performance, as everyone in the team other than Harris is crap.

CB252
And who's fault is that ? All 8 promoters that haven't got a clue how to run a strong collective product that has a hope in hell of surviving. Yes, even your beloved Matt is to blame. Still, we're lucky. One year to closure. Yes, even your beloved Matt is to blame. Matts to blame is he. Let me point something out to you..EVERY club starts at NIL points and can build to that limit. Now if Matt is a little shrewder and quicker off the mark than the rest of the clowns then who's fault is it ?

heathen chemistry
why why why why why ???? why do all other promotions let poole get there own way time and time again why does it seem poole always are allowed to have easily the strongest team on paper yr in yr out every rule they bring in to help teams all start equal seem to help poole.... is ford sponsoring the other teams , does he hand out brown envelopes, has he got his own mafia, what is it ? why didnt coventry sign a rider like larsen with the points left? were they not allowed due to heat leader rules... and biggest of all..........WHY ARE THE FANS TREATED LIKE MUSHROOMS
mdmc82
The problem is instead of signing a rider who is not on the list but capable of being a heatleader, we have signed another reserve. That means that not only are we one of the weakest at reserve but also very weak in the top 5 Why do king and Buzz both have the same average but yet king is on the heatleader list and yet Buzz who rode all season as a heatleader for Leicester isn't? Sarj was averaging around 5 last season at reserve so without Garrity as his partner you would expect more, wouldn't be surprised if he's in the top 5 after 4 meetings and Woryna or King dropping to reserve. Shows how barmy the rules are this year!
LagutaRacingFan
Just because Horton and Coventry are crap at building teams doesn't make Poole cheats.
