hansen4wolves08
Am amazed that Cov have gone for the young Pole with so many points left to play with.. Hopefully he is better than last year's Jamrog You'd a thought, a lesson might have been learnt.. Will be the same as jamrog and be replaced after so long imp
Woz01
Difference between Woryna and Jamrog is that Woryna has months to prepare for an EL season Jamrog had a couple of weeks. Some Poles take to Britain straight away but some dont, i wouldn't write him off yet. If it doesn't work out he can be replaced early. I'm not worried. g13webb
Some people are too quick to cast opinions before they even see the man ride. I say give the chap a chance, before you judge him as useless......

I say give the chap a chance, before you judge him as useless......Thats is a fair point if they only had 5-6 points to play with but when you have over 7 points to play with then you go for a proven EL scorer of which there are plenty below 7.27, why take the risk, he must be cheap.
mikebv
Simple question Neil, why has the HL list not been made public ?I would think it is due to the fact that the promoters foresaw the issues that the top riders not coming back would bring so they have kept the info to 'themselves'. The reason being that they know that there may be several 'in the interests of speedway' decisions to be made which would be questioned by the supporters if the list had been distributed publicly and they were then seen to not follow it 100%... Surely must be cheaper ways of filling the last place than flying in a Pole every week. As i said in a previous post there must be plenty of other riders not interested riding in Britain as well as the GP stars.
philfromcov
you may have 7 points plus to play with BUT you cant use them! the secret heat leaders list, anyone on 7+ must be on that list...... or will as soon as we approach them! anderson is classed as a heat leader at 6.45, so im guessing anyone on a 6+ average will be classed as that. if bjerre is classed as a heat leader (he should reallY) this takes it down to 5.87! so in reality only 5.90(ish) to play with
arnieg
Some people are too quick to cast opinions before they even see the man ride. I say give the chap a chance, before you judge him as useless...... I have seen him ride in Poland, so presumably I am allowed to comment. He was highly rated in 2014, but didn't make the expected progress this year. I would say he is better than Jamrog, but not as good as Wozniak (and remember he only twice scored more than five points away from home in 14 EL matches - where the race format gives you four points if you only beat the fast track riders). Unless he adapts as well to Brandon as Woz did to Beaumont Park, then I think he will prove to be a poor signing.

I don't think anyone was expecting Larsen, he'd be on the heatleader list if any club was interested. I have seen him ride in Poland, so presumably I am allowed to comment. Kind of expect that from a 19 year old.

Woz01
I said 'like' Larsen. That sort of experienced rider. Just don't think many riders want to ride here. Once we see all sides announced the Bees would probably look half decent.

As i said in a previous post there must be plenty of other riders not interested riding in Britain as well as the GP stars. Yes true there must a cheaper option than flying him in from Poland every week so maybe the rules and lack of available riders have restricted who can be signed. you may have 7 points plus to play with BUT you cant use them! the secret heat leaders list, anyone on 7+ must be on that list...... or will as soon as we approach them! anderson is classed as a heat leader at 6.45, so im guessing anyone on a 6+ average will be classed as that. if bjerre is classed as a heat leader (he should reallY) this takes it down to 5.87! so in reality only 5.90(ish) to play with Not sure that is how it works, i would have thought if you haven't ridden here for a while but were a heat leader last time you rode here then you should be a heat leader now and if you rode here last season and you spent the majority of last season as a heat leader then you should be a heat leader now unless you use the criteria of where you finished last season. SCB
Some people are too quick to cast opinions before they even see the man ride. I say give the chap a chance, before you judge him as useless...... This attitude makes me laugh. Tell you what, I'll sign for Lynn. You can't have an opinion until you have seen me ride, I may be amazing. It's not hard to 1. watch a few Polish meetings online and 2. Look at scores, who he has beat and how he's generally performed elsewhere. We haven't all gone, "Kacper Woryna - that sounds like the name of someone crap" - we have done a little research and he is NOT an EL second string level and unlike every other EL club we don't have the reserve power to cover him. kingbee
It is rumoured though that PK wants a number 1s salary. If true that's madness.you like your rumours don't get many right

Woz01
Still think its a poor signing and it appears we have rushed into it without much thought or planning. They did back themselves into a corner, not sure id have had King as 3rd heatleader as he doubles up which made signing a 2nd string with British experience difficult. Even more so when some of these below world class foreigners also seemingly not keen. He might work out ok with the league looking a lot weaker than last year but it is a strange one for me but as I said earlier we can always make an early change if needed. The thing is you don't race a speedway bike for a living and this lad does, so that's a pathetic comparison. We all know it's a gamble, Horton has said so himself. However, senior professionals/GP riders believe he is good enough, I'd take there comments over yours any day. Harris has even stated he's better than him in Poland so he can't be that bad. Whilst Jamrog was a flop, we also signed the Pawlicki's in a stronger league and they did well. Horton has stated there isn't an abundance of riders out there who fit, other promotors are struggling too (some won't have a proper no1)! Guess all teams will be taking a gamble with team building this year. Ps I think you would be amazing, give it a go

wealdstone
Who would have thought Mick Horton would rush in to something without thought or planning!! I am sure extensive internet research has been carried out and they have come across a highly repected organisation that will endorse their actions.
