Starman2006
Fortunately we won't see him back at Swindon Like the Avatar Stevie, nice one, even if it is only for a short period of time...
naffer
And Bjarne Pedersen signed a 2 year deal with Birmingham that wasn't honoured either. Deals should be treated with minimum seriousness. In fairness the wolves team of 2015 all signed contracts and then did not turn up

Coventry_Bee
I'd like to see Danny King back, along with Garrity, Hans and I imagine Harris is a certain starter. Sarj needs to sort this gating issue out, it's costing us points, and meetings. We are all expecting it and waiting for it each time he turns up at the gate. He is however on his day a very good rider and when you look down the list he does stand out as somebody we need to stick by and work with. This number 1 position is so difficult to fill now, look down all teams and they are all capable of having some really dodgy meetings. The new race format means the heat leaders meet each other much more than before. Only Darcy looked anything like an out and out number 1 in the whole league.
mdmc82
I would be happy using our asset AJ at number 1

So James Sarjeant, the highest averaged tier 2 rider for the last two season is what has costs us points and meetings? Are you for real? Sarj and Garrity are the reasons why we have just had two very good season as both seasons our 1-5 have been one of the worst! Give me a rider who scores 3T02 vs a rider who scores 0010 every time! Coventry_Bee
Sarj has the ability to be higher than a tier 2 draft rider. If you think he is going to improve by doing what he has been doing then I think you need to get real. Starting 15 meters back where he has the ability to beat most reserves in the league is going to cost us points. The reason we have done so well is that we more often than not haven't got the heat advantage of heat 1 we should so we expect the reserves to get us back in it in heat 2. How many more years has sarj got in tier 2? I see a few move up to the number 2 spot.eg, Garrity , Newman, Worrell.
SCB
Let's assume you could sign a rider, he touches the tapes once a meeting but wins ever other race. He's World Champion. But you also get offered a rider who scores 22232 every meeting. Who would you sign? It's irrelevant that someone touches the tapes of they're still scoring more in their other rides. I agree, Sarj needs to get over it. He could be a better rider by not doing it but it has NOT cost us anything. What cost us this year was Hans dropping two points and the rest of the 1-5 staying at the same level.
Bees_Man
And the management doing nothing with the spare points when Robbo was injured until the last minute. ( then made a poor easy option in howarth) That's what cost us. All the North talk has hidden this fact!

The annoying thing with Howarth is that if they'd signed him when Swindon had dropped him he was plodding along just fine. But they waited about 2 months, in that two months his form had dropped quite a bit in the PL, so we actually signed a rider who was under performing. There was no thought going into it at all. Bee 26
King is a bit hit and miss, for me has too many poor meetings. I think we should be making a call to AJ for the No.1 slot next year.
Bees_Man
Doyle or AJ for me, unless someone else out that that we don't know is available.
Gemini
Doyle wants a mid week track so doubt if he would come to Coventry. He's not likely to be as loyal as Chris and miss GP practices either. If Swindon have a track I reckon he will end up with the Robins.
