Bee 26
2010? I love that one too. Must have been rolling in it with that crowd of about 188. Probably deleted that recording by now!

Gemini
Maybe but they'd already lost 188 £5's on the admission price as it should have been £10 for each match. Just seems a bit petty to me expecting a refund on heats 9-15 when the weather intervened, especially as the promoters have probably lost thousands on Storm matches this year. But that is not the issue, the promoters take the risk not the fans.. That's what business is all about. Neither is it about the actual value of the lost races, it's about doing the right thing by the fans , regardless of whether there were 188 or 1880. As I stated previously it's all about principles, plus a small dose of integrity.
Gemini
Okay we'll have to agree to disagree. I'm rolling in it with my £68.30p pension per week so it doesn't bother me either way.
heathen chemistry
see the sidecars are at brandon again soon wouldnt it be a good idea to have a couple of demo races in the interval at ht 10 in future meetings , would give extra value and might attract some new fans
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
This discussion as to next years throws a major spotlight on the BSPA decision making process. We are now coming to the end of the 2nd year meaning some like Garrity should be looking to progress into the main body of team, which I suppose is the intended aim. Say he didnt want to progress, and we offered him more money money to stay at reserve, that potentially gives us an advantage and crucially for the sport of the whole clogs up reserve spaces not allowing others the opportunity to have a go at it and hopefully progress their careers. What is the plan of the BSPA, Should we limit riders to a 2 year max stint as a 1st grade draft rider, ideally we should be looking to introduce Garrity into the main body of the team and Sarge becomes a 1st grade draft rider, leaving us to select a new 2nd grade drat rider. if any draft is run properly there wont be the chance for you to consider such manipulation. No PL number 1 should be in the draft in its current form. I despair that fans continue to think its 'clever' thinking of ways to shaft everyone else. Edit - though I have quoted your post the above is not aimed at you sir j. From the tone of your post overall it looks like you have the right intentions. speedibee
I think Leicester and Poole should form a super league . and the rest of the current elite league , should continue at a slightly lower level , take in a couple of premier league clubs and run a squad system Oh and the league to be run by an independent body Edited September 23, 2015 by speedibee

I imagine Sarjeant & Bates will still be in the same Tier. Shame we won't have Garrity at reserve.

Garrity should still score a load of points at No2, After his performance in the British Final, then I can see him moving up to heat leader very quickly. SCB
Garrity should still score a load of points at No2, After his performance in the British Final, then I can see him moving up to heat leader very quickly. There is no way Garrity will be a heat leader next season. If he can hit a 6 point average as a second string he will have done well. To use a meeting at Wolves as proof of how good he is is flawed as he's great there, same with the current BV (which is going), elsewhere he'll be quite ordinary - which is a compliment for a rider of his age and experience. You only have to look at the riders he beat this season to see what his level is, he beats some second strings, loses to others, middle of the road second string is about 6. A little improvement may see him hit 6.5 and in a poor team then that may make him a heat leader in name but not reality. Now the year after, if we're still around.... if any draft is run properly there wont be the chance for you to consider such manipulation. No PL number 1 should be in the draft in its current form. I despair that fans continue to think its 'clever' thinking of ways to shaft everyone else. Edit - though I have quoted your post the above is not aimed at you sir j. From the tone of your post overall it looks like you have the right intentions. I think most Bees fans can see the bigger picture and would in fact like to see Jason push himself. I think you're mostly preaching to the converted here
heathen chemistry
i think the draft riders that move up ie garrity , newman ,will meet each other 2/3 times a match so its not inconcievable that garrity could quite easily get a 6/7 average would like to see a limit to foreign riders in the top 5 a rule poland use , maybe 3 foreigners allowed , but it wont happen
Game On
I would be tempted to move Sargent on and go with Bates and Nielsen
naffer
Jonsson Michelsen Morris Andersen Harris Garrity Sarge That's the side I would like if same rules again for 2016.; I know Morris will be at Swindon and AJ will be at lakeside but that side would be great ,a mix of youth and experience. I think the apples will not fall too far from the 2015 tree, assuming Jason rides in the top 5. Bomber Garrity Danny Hans ,reserves sarge plus one. AJ would be a great choice to complete the side at number one but we will probably sign Zengi. Up the bees
