mdmc82
Garrity was never going to step up into the main body of the team for peanuts & might price himself out of a team place anywhere as a result. I guess it does depend what Garrity is asking for

Don't think there's much chance of that.

Crazy robin
he has improved to the stage where he is in a position quite rightly demand more money.... Depends if he wants more than the 5th highest average in the team I guess but his stock is high so can't blame him pricing himself highly.
Woz01
From those who spoke to Garrity last night, he said he would love to return to Coventry but looks unlikely at the moment due to Horton and money 😕 (also being reported on Coventry fans Facebook page) If we can't afford Garrity then no chance of getting any heat leaders or finishing a season Thats not what has been said at all! Fans who spoke to Jason last night have said he would stay if the money was right, like any rider! Nothing at all about Horton not being able to afford it and it being unlikely. mdmc82
Did you speak to him or did you hear him telling somebody else ? I heard it from somebody who was there and spoke to him. Also seen it from Melanie on Facebook who is a reliable source. Her direct quote "To confirm Jason wants to come back but it is unlikely due to £ unless Mick puts his hand in his pocket, no rumour straight from horses mouth"

(Taken from cov Facebook page) Patricia "Jason told me last night that he wouldn't be riding for Bees next year" Melanie Kelsey "To confirm Jason wants to come back but it is unlikely due to £ unless Mick puts his hand in his pocket, no rumour straight from horses mouth" Wonder what riders Horton is thinking of using then? g13webb
Garrity was never going to step up into the main body of the team for peanuts & might price himself out of a team place anywhere as a result. Under the new ideas this year, where the draft can/will be promoted into the team on their CMA scores, probably Jason feels that the money from the extra rides he gained in the Draft will dry up and he could be out of pocket. Probably he is the only rider thinking about this. It will make a massive difference to the draft's earning potential Are we to believe the main reason of implementing the Draft system is now forgotten and we have experimented for nothing...... Yet again another IDEA the BSPA have drummed up without thinking it all the way through....
heathen chemistry
i reckon he's just angling for more money, he's already signed for sheffield , he didnt seem to want more money from them ?
Steve0
i reckon he's just angling for more money, he's already signed for sheffield , he didnt seem to want more money from them ? FTRs were/are on a fixed rate. It makes sense that as he is no longer an FTR that he gets the going rate for someone of his skill/experience - whatever that may be. Surely everyone wants to get paid what they believe they are worth - why should a speedway rider be any different?
Bees_Man
Be nice to get a positive signing on board, as at the moment it's feeling like an exodus!

mdmc82
Harris will atend belle hues end of season do. Hmmmmmmm Isn't it due to him helping you get in play offs with guesting so often? Coventry used to invite riders if they guested a lot. Julie Holland "Belle Vue speedway fans I have news for you! I have been working hard talking to a special person that helped us get into the finals of the Elite League play offs and I am absolutely delighted to tell you that Chris Harris will be joining us at the End of an Era dinner !! If you want to get up close and personal to Chris, Stefan Nielsen andd Stevie Worrall then get your tickets from Hilary M Battersby "
