Sarjeant was a tier 1 rider as the Bees twitter feed confirmed yesterday.

So not 2 tier 2's as previously mentioned.

Don't see any issue with sarjeant being a tier 1 this year.

Bates progressed quite a bit this year, I'm a little saddened he won't be back.

You have a promising kid to watch this year.

Surely the weakest one. For me sarge fell away terribly st the end of the season. Massive risk for me.

Hoping the top 5 will surprise us all but I'm guessing more of the usual in King, summers and JK.

Exactly. If Sarjeant was moved up to the tier 1 then why were none of the other tier 2 riders?

Sarjeant was terrible at the end of the season.

He's also a reserve in the PL whilst a lot of the other tier 1 or 2 riders ride in the main body of the PL teams including Newman, Auty & Howarth who have been PL number ones!

Looking at the speedway star averages for the whole season sarjeant finished 9th of the draft riders so can see why he was moved to tier 1.

We've known all this for weeks. We knew Sarj was going to be in Tier 1. What we also knew was that he didn't need protecting as none of the other 7 teams were going to pick him as their Tier 1 rider because, let's face it, why the hell would they!?

The Bees only motive for moving Garrity out of the draft appeared to have been because they had a plan of obtaining a decent Tier 1 rider. Sadly it's all gone to pot.

Good on Garrity for having the balls and using the FTR how I thought it was supposed to be used.

All tier one riders that have done two years should be made to move up and the tier two riders should have moved into to there places followed by a new group of tier 2s

Coventry have used the system how it was designed to be used.

Garrity didnt want to be in the draft. Not sure why though as he'd have been in the 1-5 after 4 matches.

With Garrity not wanting to be in the draft and it seems Barker wasn't either then we'd have struggled to have a top reserve anyway. Not sure how the draft worked this year but seems strange to protect Sarj and then pick a lower tier 2 rider. Did we get one of the last picks for tier 2?

You should've had one of the top tier 2 picks.

exactly how the draft was invented for,

other teams using it as a scapegoat to get riders in on fake low averages.... in my book thats cheating

It's not looking good, but early days yet. However, I think there are going to be some pretty dire teams out there next season.

Let's hope we're not one of them.

A team of Harris, Garrity, Kylmakorpi, King, Barker, Sargeant and Bates doesn't bear thinking about. Harris aside, a team full of inconsistent riders, many of whom are poor away from home.

We all know the above team will be cannon fodder, so common sense dictates that this can't possibly be the team for next year.

barker has quit Plymouth who ride on a Friday night & wants to ride elite league . Looks like he's on way to Brandon if he is Hans replacement count me out for our last season .

He would weaken us in the top 5. Would have just about coped with him I'd at reserve but not in our top 5, esp when going to need a strong top 5 to compensate for reserve

Barker would be good as a 2nd string rider. Lets not forget he is more than capable of getting a 6.5 average and he would start at around 4.8. We could get close to the limit with this side,

Doyle

Barker

Larsen

Garrity

Harris

Sarjeant

Bates

I think that team looks ok, I know people dont like Barker (I'm not a fan of him as a person) but he can stick 1.5 on his average. Plus we get 3 heatleaders.

Cant see us signing Barker unless we sign Doyle or someone a 9pt average as we'd be quite below the limit.

Personally I think that side is fantasy under Horton and co
