Woz01
Interesting that he is in control of the lease now. I hope the Stock Cars will still be here as its pretty clear Brandon is somewhat a spiritual home for that sport. I guess as Horton now 'runs' the stadium then Heaver would rent it off him. Would be madness if Heaver didn't. Wouldn't trust Horton. Will probably double the rent for the stoxs!! Wouldn't be surprised if the Stox paid very little rent as Heaver is the promoter and his boss Sandhu was running the stadium, probably making a tidy profit. Now roles seemingly reversed it'll makes sense for Horton to get more rent from the Stox (Heaver+Sandhu) while the Bees fees would be far cheaper.

SCB
When? Think it was about 5 years ago. Took Mildenhall into Premier League It was more than that. 2006/2007 rings a bell - I think Simon Barton tried a season in the PL after that where Buster Chapman took over very late on before pulling out and they went back to the NL with an old couple (really sorry, don't remember names) taking over before selling onto a consortium including a few old rider. I remember interviewing (very badly) Blayne Scroggins and Horton jnr for re-run productions at Newport during Horton era which is the only reason I can date it! I think it was the year after Mick sold the club that Blayne and Laurence Rogers went a whole season without a single win as team managers and only got 1 very dodgy draw at home to Kings Lynn, weeks after Buster Champman (Lynn owner) took over! Anyway, again, Mick meant well. Tried to take them PL but it failed. Im sure he had the right interests, wanted to do well, tried hard but just failed. It seems to me he means well but just isn't speedway promoter material. They say "If at first you don't succeed,: Try, try, try again" and Mick certainly does that! Woz01
is Heaver linked with Sandhu somehow ? Heaver was stadium manager when Sandhu owned Brandon. I think he is working on Sandhu behalf to find a new site.
SCB
Heaver was stadium manager when Sandhu owned Brandon. I think he is working on Sandhu behalf to find a new site. I just assumed HEaver was looking for a new site for Stock cars in the same way that Horton is looking for a new site for speedway.
Woz01
I just assumed HEaver was looking for a new site for Stock cars in the same way that Horton is looking for a new site for speedway. I asked the question where will the money come from to build the new stadium and was told it'll be from Sandhu. Heaver has also said that a new stadium would have both Stox and Bees, hence they will still looking locally.

mdmc82
SHEFFIELD have been dealt a blow ahead of Sunday's trip to Newcastle with Jason Garrity ruled out due to a hand injury. Garrity did the damage as he crashed in heat nine of their clash at Somerset on Friday and will now miss the Window Centre Tigers' clash in Tyneside. The all-action No.5, who has an excellent record around the tricky Brough Park circuit, also missed their Knockout Cup tie with the Diamonds last month with an arm injury.
