Fundinfan
Whatever it is he's been doing, it's better than Bates and Woryna which is why he find himself at #4 despite only being #7 in our initial averages. The failing is not Sarj's, it's Worynas. If we had a 6 point man in Worynas place then Sarj would still be in reserve and would be plodding along nicely. Now if we'd had someone decent at 4 and Garrity had started in reserve then Sarj would be deemed to be having a pretty good season. It's unfair to have a go at the lad who is out of position because our management signed a rubbish team. plodding is exactly what sarge has been doing for the last twelve months. Woryna has shown a lot more spirit and dedication to the team than most this season. Perhaps if Enzville didn't hand it all on a plate to Sargeant he may get his finger out and make a fist of things. Having watched the premier league meetings on Sky this week,I fear that Roynon is a disaster for us , guesting for us tonight. Surely having seen the performances of Fisher,Bellego and Jorgensen , all who are without a top league team place, a move should be made by the management. Also the refusal to use Ben Barker so far this season sums up the inept approach to success by Horton and his very specialised !,,,,! team seeing out the final season at Brandon.
Woz01
Yes he's been flying with four race wins all season 8,3,7,6,3 were his last 5 scores before moving up to the number 4 position. Some sides would love to have that scoring from their tier 2 rider. To be honest he has disappointed me a bit but seemed to start getting it together before the move up. He will be back to scoring similar when he moves back down.

Whats wrong with plodding? I'd rather a rider plod along and score steadily than celebrate the odd win but score less. Sarj has averaged more than Woryna but started the season on a point less. Sarj has put over a point on his average, if every rider had put a point on their average we'd be top of the league. If Woryna was doing that well he'd still be in the 1-5 and Sarj still in reserve we he could plod along scoring 4-5 points- how many numbers 7s score more? Ellis and Starke yes but the rest? Wilkinson has been dropped by Lynn, Jacobs is averaging less than 3, Robert Mear is doing nothing special despite his greater experience, Stef Nielsen, Max Clegg and Ash Morris are all doing worse, as is Coventrys own Josh Bates. Compare his to all the other #7s/3 point men and Sarj is actually doing a very good job. The lad is averaging over 7 in the PL with bonus points, hes come good in recent weeks for Ipswich. Sadly as that happened for Coventry he's been thrust into the 1-5 and it's ruined any confidence he was starting to gain. As I said above, had our team been built properly (either 6 point and not Woryna, or Garrity in reserve) he's be in reserve now doing a decent job. He's not a second string, he should not be at second string but he's done so well he's become one!
Robbobee
Agree with SCB on this one .... In any event can only replace James Sarjeant with another rider from EDR or Adam Roynon .... How many matches do we miss with Jason Garrity out injured ? Could replace him with a rider up to 7.48 !! if I am correct given latest gas's It's a no brainer isn't it? Cheers

Bees_Man
Will be RR probably under Horton. No point having Fisher as he rides Friday's. Feels like Horton is just seeing it out now so I wouldn't get too excited!
Woz01
We can use the readmission tickets from the Swindon call off for any meeting until the end of the league season
mdmc82
If we are not planning on using Barker when Garrity is out then can't we declare Robson or Fisher instead? Ideally we could do with signing a 7pt rider to cover for Garrity until he returns as RR is going to leave us very weak

And Robbo is not the answer. Mind you, r/r isn't the answer either.
TheSmiler
Every day that passes gives me less enthusiasm that they're going to make a signing. Absolutely atrocious. This year seems to be Mick just seeing it out til the bitter end. Such a shame our last season is being spent with no passion. and WHY are we ignoring Barker and constantly using RR? Feel quite sorry for Ben actually because he could have been riding elsewhere.
Panthers89
Nothing to do with speedway as such but the stadium, last night went to watch the Briscas there, 45 minutes it took to get out the car park, you see atleast 20 car park attendants at the start where do they disappear too? Is it as bad for speedway? I can't remember it being that bad when the Panthers have visited in the past?

Panthers89
Is that because of a smaller crowd though? Not being funny with that either mind
mdmc82
Is that because of a smaller crowd though? Not being funny with that either mind Could be. Although we have had good crowds again this season at the speedway, the stockcars are often a sell out so a bigger crowd which might explain the issue. heathen chemistry
stocks run less often, and fans come from all over uk not just two places mainly when its speedway

We've had that problem sometimes when only one has been open which obviously leads to a bit of chaos with cars coming from all directions. Bees_Man
Do our promotors still go to the away meetings. The last few I've not seen them there from wolves meeting onwards?
TheSmiler
It's quite obvious they're not even going to use Barker let alone make a change so what's the point in even speculating...utterly appalling management
KevH
It's quite obvious they're not even going to use Barker I agree, but it does seem a strange decision. Barker would be the perfect replacement for Garrity at the moment, but even Barker has gone public saying that Coventry don't intend to use him. Why? Has he seriously upset the promotion? It's no secret he's seriously upset a few people over the years, but if the Coventry promoters are included in that, why sign him in the first place? Can anyone shine any light?
