mdmc82
The club is a shambles from top to bottom. Fingers crossed we even last till August Really sad with this looking likely to be our last year. 😕 Had a good team the last 2 years but this team are dreadful. We are losing even after using tactical at home against an average team.
Bees_Man
Any chance of a signing before Monday? We must have a few points to play with. As it stands it's nailed on for another home defeat.

SCB
Â couple of crazy comments here...think you know bjerre/sundstrom totally differentt comparison to woffy/hancock ..ljung.ruud..also comparing rosco with havvy. a manager can only work with what a promoter gives him.. You're the one generalising by age and being in a SWC team. But I'm the crazy one for proving how stupid that is? Bjerre in his worst season in about 10 years last season was still better than Sundstrom in probably his best. Â As for the bit about riders working with what they're given. You think so really? Rosco was given a team for 2010, it was crap, HE signed Pawlicki (or you you think Sandhu went out to Poland and had the contacts at Leszno?) and rebuilt the team making it a winning one. Rosco builds teams, Havvy works with what he's given further proving my point that Rosco is a superior rider manager! When Rosco moved to Swindon he took Morris and Kildemand with him, or do you think it was luck that the Swindon promotion at the time not only took our manager/promoter but happened to sign two riders who'd been at Coventry the year before? Sundstrom currently doesn't fit, however after Monday either him or Zengota should fit after we get thrashed.
ColinMills
who gets the praise/flack at poole? the promoter, a managers job in speedway is a part time job, which is nothing much more than a motivator who does a coin toss and the obvious tactical moves..the GB job for example, the managers job is limited

I'm not wading in on the manager argument, but I'm pretty sure Rosco wasn't the superior rider!

Thats fine but don't justify it with pointless means. Me, I'd prefer the rider who scores more points, Bjerre. Â I accept that to some extent it is down to the promoters cheque book but you always feel with Rosco he'll find you someone or something. It might be Pawlicki form Poland, Kildemand or Morris from the PL. But what has Havvy ever found us? Or Rogers for the Storm? I'm not wading in on the manager argument, but I'm pretty sure Rosco wasn't the superior rider! Opps. Meant manager! I'd neevr actually try and argue Rosco was the better rider

Game On
Â Any chance of a signing before Monday? Â Nope, there's more chance of the management team being excepted as members of Mensa.
markyb
was privileged enough to attend the inter-league challenge between Glasgow and Coventry. - considering the circumstances of a wet track in the middle of April, the entertainment [that is what I strive for !] was fantastic - did not really matter who won or lost, but appeared to be 100 % from all riders in attendance . Alas, elite league defies the word " elite " When you have a rider of the calebre of Danny King as heat leader, shows how bad things in the British speedway top flight has become. A speedway friend where I work was talking this morning about how Coventry could turn there speedway season around and happened to mention Kenneth Bjerre - ok not a world beater, but a step In the right direction and almost a "name" that could attract a former 100 % spectator (ME !!) back to Brandon.. So, so sad, that allegedly the final speedway in the Coventry post code area for speedway in 2016 purposes, will become the middle of August. Â Mick ( or are you really Colin in disguise ! ) and your "boy" Neil, about time you woke up and attempted fo make notice and took responsibility - rather than the detracting you doing at the moment and blaming anybody but yourselves.

Gemini
Could borrow MPT for a couple weeks, don't say we're not giving I happened to be looking in the pits when the riders were getting on the truck before the Somerset match and wondered who the lad was with the pink hat on because he didn't look strong enough to hold a bike up let alone race one. Turned out to be Michael Palm Toft so thanks but no thanks. He seemed to be pretty good last year but is struggling this season so far.

SCB
He was very popular when he rode in the 1-5 for us because he is one of those riders who always gives 100%. And again, it's that obsession with "gives 100%", how about this? You go into heat 15, needing to win it. You can your 8 point man who only ever gives 50% or you can put in your 4 point man who always gives 100% who are you going to pick? Nobody sane will pick the lesser rider who gives his all when you could put in the better guy who can be even better if he puts his mind to it. Â Coventry have a few rider who give it their all but it's not working is it? They need points, not effort.
ouch
Must admit I'm one of the strange ones who would rather watch a lad bust a gut to score 4 than watch a "star" score 7. Over the last decade we've had loads of journey men going though the motions and it does my head in. I take your point about winning but another quirk with me is I'm happy to see us lose if the match has been great but feel short changed if the meeting is dull irrespective of the final result. I can't defend those opinions, it just is. Â I'm also a big MPT fan.
waiheke1
Bjerre is surely as good a signing as Coventry fans could hope for, and would make the team contenders for the play off spot IMHO, with arguably the comps strongest top 3 and 2 decent second strings..though still a weak pairing at reserve.
