Coventry 2016

Is a bit strange. Only way it would work is if there is a rearranged fixture due to rain offs or if one of our double up riders get injured.

Yeah it must just be for that, suppose when we have Garrity in the side its always a good idea to have cover. Both King and Garrity rode with injuries during last season so when not 100% we can put Barker in. Dont know why Barker would accept though as he isn't guaranteed any meetings!

Also looking at the draft list I'm hoping we sign Roynon as our number 9

It is a strange one. Can Barker cover for Garrity as well or is his average to high?

I think Roynon would be a good choice if cover for Sarjeant was needed. Keeps a Coventry feel to the team

If his average is converted from his PL average last season then it will fit.

It seems the reason for the change of date of the Bees v Kings Lynn meeting from the 8th to the 11th is because Kasprazak and Iversen would've been missing. Also now that Kings Lynn v Coventry is on the 6th April on Sky and not 24 hours later Bates will be available.

Apparently we've signed Barker in a shared d/u role. Not sure how that will work?

Is this official then as there is nothing on the website?

So Barker will ride when Garrity can't?? Both as crazy as each other if you ask me!! Good job they are not riding together :D

We get priority on Garrity thats why its strange. It must be to cover for injuries to Garrity and King, only thing that can make sense.

with his average he will probably be able to cover for Woryna as well thought someone said Barkers average was 4.something ?

Possibly but it seems he will cover d/u riders only. Shame we couldn't persuade Garrity to be a draft rider then couldve had Barker in the 1-5 with a strong reserve pairing again. If he could cover Woryna as well then that could make more sense as Woryna may have Polish commitments that clash.

As I hoped Adam Roynon announced as our number 9.

Had Coventry persuaded Garrity to start as the fast track number 6 they could have signed two other riders for the main body like another six point rider (RIcky Wells sharing with Barker maybe) while Woryna could have been the number 8 or bought in another untried rider as the number 8 if Woryna isn't suited for the Elite League.

Once Garrity had moved up they would have had a more solid top five and a stronger reserve pairing. As it is Coventry still have potential and if the real KK shows up they should be play off contenders and I hope to pop down a few times to see some matches.

Pretty big if!!! Will be interesting to see how Coventry do really, as I think they will perform better on the track to how they look on paper.

They look pants on paper.

So many ifs about them.

Their future rests on both Poles as far as I see it.

Bomber will do what bomber does, king will do ok without improving that much whilst garrity will hold his own and likely be a heat leader after 4 meetings. Both reserves will have their moments despite looking one of the weaker pairings.

So if KK can bounce back from a dismal year bees could be a top 4 outfit.

If Wornya turns out to be half decent then the fans will be more than happy.

Jury out for me.

If KK can produce his form from 2010 then I would be very confident of a good season, having two big hitters in KK and Harris could be a big difference against other sides named.

If he produces his 2010 form with Lakeside you had better start getting on the phone to Kenni Larsen right away.
