TesarRacing
OAPs have been 'traditionally' given a concession at all manner of things. It is beginning to become obvious that the state would like nothing better than to end the Old Age Pension. Others will, and have in this case, take the opportunity to jump on the bandwagon. It looks like I was born 10 years too late Don't want to go 'off topic' but it is not just OAP's though is it? Certain generations have missed out on numerous 'benefits'. When our children were born, we lost out on funded nursery places, then we had to help our kids pay Uni tuition fees, I am 60 this year and apparently I wont a bus pass till I am 67. Don't actually have a problem with this as clearly the government does not have the money to fund all these things.

Brilliant, I love how it's the parents that lose out because their kids had to pay uni fees. Truly brilliant. So not an issue for the kid who has the debt but the parent. Marvellous. You're right, lets forget about the young who have the debt and feel sorry for their parents, my heart bleeds!

SCB
Polish semi-final. Well done Swindon Speedway, Coventry Speedway and the BSPA for arranging a meeting when a rider is missing that could have been avoided. They'll be wondering why nobody bothers turning up soon. It's the unneccesary guests and r/r. And rubbish like is happening at Lynn with the date being changed 3 times! CB252
Absolute joke of a sport. That said, surprised he's taken the booking given that all of the classless trash talking has come out of his own mouth during the winter. Bit of a hypocrite is Hans. I'm sure he'll delight in riding crap for us once more. KK at it already. Might save the money. Ah well, won't be an issue next year. KK has to be there so no issue with that but you have to wonder what they actually look at when sorting the fixtures list. Bates missing also.

Was thinking of going Thursday until just finding out our number 1 is missing. Unbelievable that a potentially attractive fixture is being raced on a cold, dark night in March and worse still with a big name rider known to be unavailable in advance! Another glaringly obvious opportunity missed by the sport.

Shale Searcher
On a cold March evening? The season has always started in March? I remember when I was a kid, I craved March arriving so I could get down to Blackbird Road, speedway under lights, coat, club scarf and bobble hat on, drinking a small bottle of Hoyes pop (5p back on the bottle) in one hand, and either a fresh cooked proper Hot Dog, or Pasti in the other.... Shouting for the Lions!!! Great atmosphere! Has everyone gone soft?
