Coventry 2016

Spot on.

You also have to wonder why rules and regulations always seem to favour one particular team....there are either a lot of stupid people making decisions or they are being influenced in some way. Or probably both.

Matt is certainly on the ball, the George Best of modern day speedway promoters. However, the sport will never thrive again because youngsters have no interest in speedway anymore. Many sports are suffering the same fate, speedway is not alone in dwindling interest...

matt ford is a very very good promoter, the best around at the moment probably, but jeez hes no george best, keep your feet on the ground panther.

No its not Pooles fault. They just follow the rules.

The other side of it is what joy is there in winning anything when most of the other teams are well under strength and offer no real competition at the end.just a very hollow victory.

Bit contradictory there don't you think. Who's fault is that ?

Completely agree. Terrible thing to say

Excellent, will look forward to seeing you and all the other 'true fans' at every home and away Bees and Storm match next year. Yep, didn't think so. You'll be too busy posting to attend a meeting.

The point is, there won't be anything to save at the end of the season. The way the sport and team are being run is completely justifying Sandhu's decision to flatten the place.

Soz cant see your point everyone else seems to understand my post but i will try and explain it to you again I am not having a dig at Poole i am saying its the BSPAs fault you have to read all my post not just pick bits out of it to understand what i am saying.I would say the same about any team.If the rules allow any team to build a team far better team than all the rest when there is a shortage of quality riders there is something wrong with the rules. The sport needs all the teams to be competitive to keep the fans interested and keep them turning up.

I would say the same if it was my team i would rather win the league against well match teams and beat the best rather than win against a league of under strength teams but thats my opinion perhaps yours differ.

You might as well post that in Chinese for all the sense it will make to Starman

Yeh I agree, but who's fault is that ?and also that Matt is light years in front of everybody else and a lot quicker off the mark. Tell you what, I would bet you now, that Matt already has half the 2017 team pencilled in already... ;)

Jack Holder being one of them! :)

Ones things for certain, Buzz won't be! Starry's probably right though. Ford will have Chris Holder, Brady Kurtz, Jack Holder and Adam Ellis pencilled in for 2017. And more than likely, Kyle Newman.

Is that why I have had a season ticket for several years for bees and attended most of the Coventry storm meetings. I think you should find out facts before posting statements like that.

I would say that its your fault that you agree with me.

I would also think that Chris has 4 or 5 names pencilled in for 2017 but lets see what mind boggleing new rules the BSPA bring in first shall we ;) .

Will be very interesting to see the HL list when/if it finally comes out.

If as has been quoted (Wolves thread via CVS comments at fans night) there was infact only 18 names on it how on earth was Danny one of the 18??

It’s funny when the Poole fans say “it’s not our fault, all the promoters make the decisions” or “Matt Ford is just more astute”

Many years ago Belle Vue signed Jason Lyons after a particularly bad year with Poole. He came to us on a nice low EL average and to complete the team we had local lad Ricky Ashworth lined up. We were then told we couldn’t fit Ricky in as the average Jason needed to use was his PL converted average and not his most recent EL figure. Ricky then went to Poole “enjoying” a 500mile plus round trip for home meetings.

At the time a video clip came on the web of a pre-season fans meeting at Poole with Matt Ford and Terry Russell on the panel. The Ricky/Jason situation was mentioned and with laughter all round Russell said perhaps he should have known the rules better. The he in question was Ian Thomas, a man who throughout his involvement with the sport knew the rule book backwards. The ruling had been made it was just a little slow in getting around to everybody.

T

his is by no means the only occasion for such “shenanigans”, anybody remember when Matt Ford was astute in his signing of Peter Kildermand?

All promoters are created equal, it’s just some are more equal than others.
