Coventry 2016

I don't think you are the only one somehow ~ I can immediately think of someone else. I do find it rather weird though not being keen on him as he has ridden well for Coventry over many years and is a rider that always gives 100%.

Edited because I messed the quote up and I like perfection. :P

I love to see Bomber when he is at his best on track and he's grown on me in the last couple of seasons as his consistency has improved. I think it's a crime when he opens his mouth on occasions though. Did anybody else hear him proudly announce at 2015 p&p day that he hadn't been near a gym or sat on a speedway bike all winter? We then wonder why he can be slow to start the season! Love or hate Nicki Pedersen -- you would never hear him say that! Somebody must also have had a word with Bomber about taking laps of honour and giving the fans a wave as this now happens regularly and is very much appreciated.

Let his racing do the talking.

Nicki has to go down the gym to learn how to Bob and weave, in preparation for next years altercations.

And the proof is in the pudding --- his results in the G.P's and his fitness levels. He's probably good at fencing also (the sport of course)

Bomber didnt say that. He said he hadn't done the preparation he wanted as he had a few issues during the winter. One being about a former mechanic and also someone impersonating him on twitter which caused a massive issue for him and family. Edited by woz01

I have no intention to argue but I can 100% assure you that he did say that and my husband heard it too --- for once (unfortunately) the microphone was working loud and clear!. I think he said it as he probably thought it would raise a laugh. The only thing it raised were eyebrows and not just mine.

However a new season is about to start and I look forward to our 2016 season whatever it may bring.

UP THE BEES!! :t::D

He did a similar interview where he said their were reasons why he didnt prepare so well, I just assumed it was from p&p but probably mistaken. Think it was reported on the Speedway GP website thinking about it now. Edited by woz01

If anybody wants to come along to the next NSSC meeting on Thursday (19th November 8pm) you are more than welcome. There's a small charge of £3 for non members and all proceeds go to support Neil Vatcher and the Young Lions.

Once again Adam Roynon is hosting the event, so plenty of laughs and our guests are Danny King and Mick Horton.

So why not come and ask Mick Horton his plans for next year and beyond. Can't guarantee how much he will let on though

COVENTRY will face great rivals Poole in the opening meetings of the 2016 season.

The two clubs have agreed dates for the Elite Shield, which will get the new campaign underway in the middle of March.

The Pirates are the reigning Elite League champions and Shield holders, whilst the Buildbase Bees finished second in the regular league table this year.

The first leg of the Elite Shield will take place at Wimborne Road on Wednesday March 16, with the return at Brandon 48 hours later on Friday March 18.

And that will mean a rapid return to Coventry for Hans Andersen, who rode for the Bees in the past two seasons but has now made the switch to Dorset.

Coventry co-promoter Neil Watson said: “We’re pleased to have agreed these dates quickly and it should make for an excellent start to the new season.

“There’s always plenty of rivalry between the clubs, so that will be renewed at an early stage and I’m sure we’ll both be keen to kick the season off with some silverware.”

Press and practice at Brandon will take place on the afternoon and early evening of Friday March 11, and skipper Chris Harris stages his Testimonial meeting on Sunday March 20.

Admission prices and season ticket information for the 2016 campaign will be published shortly.
