Gazc
I understand George Ward, Darcy's dad, was in the pits at Armadale last night with Nick. So i understand he will also be there Tomorrow.
MD
Agree.....and despite the others' individual scores tonight I would like to see next years team built around Aaron, Richard, Victor and possibly Kauko. We need a genuine No1 to join Summers. Despite best intentions for the last 2 seasons neither Wolbert or Morris have worked. Whilst Morris was injured for the mid part of the season he wasnt exactly pulling up any trees before that. I doubt he comes cheap and that budget could be used more effectively next year. I also wonder if our raceday will remain a Sunday, moving to a Friday for example may provide more options.
EIS002
Well done Edinburgh and good luck on Sunday. Just goes to show that throwing stupid money at riders doesn't always work.

Bandit59
Decided to go and was looking forward to a close and entertaining meeting what a disappointment on both accounts 3 passes all night after bend 2 thought i was at Berwick even the home supporters next to me were moaning about it being follow the leader i just shrugged and said i was used to it.Lawson was diabolical back to how he used to ride the Dale with Worky ,Coty really unlucky not to get paid for a win in heat 11,Edinburghs to lose now.
MD
Dont think there will be much in the pay scales between those two Teams.!!!! The owners at Glasgow have made it clear that the team must break even to gate receipts, whilst they have been happy to spent on the stadium to improve facilities. They have already had a purge on the piss takers trying to get in as Seniors/OAP's. They are very business minded and wont shirk a tackle.

Have to laugh at all the jealous posters on BSF who come up with the "money can't buy, etc" as if two very successful business men are "dumb and dumber". There is a plan, it's year one, and speedway is only part of the plan.
lewy
I dont think money has anything to do with it. Plymouth have Glasgow in playoffs and as far as budgets are concerned we are poles apart but on track I think it will be alot closer injuries, luck, form etc all go towards getting a successful team

You would almost think that the continual drivel they spout about Glasgow that they actually want it to fail or am i just being cynical. Anyway you up next week Lewy.

MANSE
Re raceday think it will stay Sunday to much marketing work done to change it next year.Team i think pos 3 of this team will be back Victor no had the benefit of his 3 pt average, Nick no does not seem comfortable round Ashfield, Kauko no i think he was just a stop gap.Hynek pos as no 6,James pos as no 5 depending on the make up of our top 4, Rchard +Aaron +2 others Edited September 26, 2015 by MANSE

Victor is the far greater prospect IMO and should be retained. He needs a shove sometimes but his development would continue nicely between riding in the top league in Sweden and having continuity with the Tigers over here. Lawson and Summers will be retained as we own their registration thereafter i think we will make changes. We need a strong No1 and if we could twist his arm id have Anders Thomson back on an average less than 6. Im sure we could arrange to pay his air fares and he wouldnt feel the need to race his team mates. I listened to some of the media stuff last night with Stewart Dickson saying he wanted to go with a young team, though i wouldnt discount Matthew Wethers on a 4 as a reserve next year. Gazc
Is that not what you usually do about Edinburgh Gazc? No don't ever make assumptions on what Edinburgh pay there riders etc etc TBH i couldn't care less and if you read my post's on Edinburgh as a speedway team i am rather complimentry off them. Yes i have heated debates with some off your fan's which is fine sometimes i am wrong (Very Rarely) But i don't ever recall having a sly dig at Edinburgh or there promotion but no need to apologise we all make mistakes.
cyclone
Re race day, too much invested in floodlights to be the odd midweek meeting. They could revert to Wednesdays which was the case when White City re-opened in 1964 or run Sunday evening meetings.

Or try again for Friday evenings which would seem the obvious choice.
