Fromafar
Agree. Belle Vue our scored Poole 14-4 in the last couple of heats once the track settled. Imagine the lead they could have taken if their track had been as they usually have it when sky aren't thereSky were there for the Swindon match though and there were no complaints about the track from Belle vue supporters!!!!!.it was certainly different compared to this evening
ColinMills
Losing a steel shoe and riding with no goggles is completely different, he broke the rules, let's see what happens before Wednesday.is it any different to "cheating" with an off side goal?....if the start marshall or ref don't stop it, too bad....that's 2 people not doing their job
BWitcher
Two things disappoint me tonight. Â One is the amount of rubbish on this thread. Is this the most witless unfactaul banter or just some kind of poor attempt at trolling. Â Secondly, I am disappointed with the Belle Vue fans in the stadium to keep booing the Poole riders all night at every opportunity. They risk there lives to give people an exciting form of entertainment and all people can do is act moronic. Â A lot of people have some serious growing up to do. Â Yes you do need to grow up. Â They don't risk their lives for our entertainment, they risk it for THEIR entertainment and to get paid. Â As for booing, it's called an atmosphere in a playoff final, sport needs more of it.
crumpiefan
Great comeback from the Aces although in all probability too little too late. Zagar and Cook our main men tonight, reserves a massive let down. Expect Poole to win by 16 plus on Wednesday. By the way out of interest as its a Sky meeting does a different guy prepare the track and don't the home team get a say? As it was clear as day from being there tonight that it took over half the meeting for Belle Vue to work the track out yet Poole clicked immediately
therefused
Newman should have two points removed, but I highly doubt it will affect the final result on Wednesday. Belle vue threw it away tonight
SCB
The thing is, removing two points isnt enough. BV should get 2 as well. But even that's not right. He's have gone off 15 metres putting Starke on gate 2 and anything could have happened then. The referee messed up and has possibly had a major effect on the result. mikebv
There is ALWAYS an excuse and something to bloody moan about. Good job Watty and Janowski were poor otherwise we would have come away with a win. There are always reasons and excuses. Let the riding do the talking on Wednesday as it ought to be. As I always say......UP THE PIRATES. As an Aces fan I must admit I can only see one outcome on Wednesday... Â However... Â As we left the stadium tonight and dissected the result we came to the conclusion that if the roles had been reversed and we were Poole fans, maybe we would be just a tad apprehensive given the fact that Poole had the Final virtually won... Â Nicholls' tapes exclusion, the superb Cook's exclusion for his fall and even Worrall's desperate attempt to sportingly clear the track paid dividends as a 5-1 became a 5-0 and when your reserves hammer in 18 (paid 20) and your counterparts can only muster a paltry 3, you surely may start to think 'have we blown this?' Â 13 points up after six clearly should have been 'all over'... Â Poole have let definitely BV back into it and who know's knowing you should have had it sown up may just nag away at their riders and put some real pressure on them on Wednesday... Â As I say, cannot see Poole losing on their own patch, but a bit of bad luck over the first few races for them and maybe knowing they threw away a 13 point lead may start to have a negative effect... Â Hope springs eternal.. Â A great crowd, a great atmosphere and some great racing.. Â Whisper it.... Â If speedway had crowds like this and intense racing like this every night then maybe, just maybe, it could be a 20 quid sport.. foreverblue
Whoever prepared that track needs sacking, they rode well on it last week why not prepare it the same, people always think Poole like a slick track which is a trap some clubs fall for. Belle Vue reserves picked a bad night to go missing, Newman was terrific with or without goggles! Don't think many Belle Vue fans will have compassion for Dakota North with the way he rode! He had a good night too.

foreverblue
god help this thread if poole wins by 1 point!!!!!! Can't see it, we beat them pretty easily last time and the draw Mark Lemon goes on about is early in the season when we didn't have Janowski who although poor tonight, will be a different rider wednesday. krompa
Any idea when result will be officially confirmed? Was there any post match protest?
damosuzuki
god help this thread if poole wins by 1 point!!!!!! haha. Â I'm just glad no one was badly hurt and as a neutral it was great fun. Incident from start to finish, total commitment, loads of overtaking and Craig Cooke looking like the class act he really is. Tremendous entertainment I thought and another massive crowd for speedway.
ColinMills
that's the main thing, super sport when you have a meaningful fixture.......you tend to see riders put it on the line when you have large crowds, it rubs off onto riders AND the fans
javw
Where's my last post gone?????? That was a real wind up!!! Â I think it's still there, but you won't see it if you are hiding behind the sofa!
Starman2006
The match result will not be altered. The fault lies with the referee for declaring the result of the heat even though Kyle rode without goggles. Â I do wonder if the ref was even aware at the time the race was declared that Kyle had rode without goggles? It must be hard to see that from the ref box But the start marshall knew. He held his Goggles for him...
Starman2006
Â That's a damn good point Starry! So really the only person to blame is the start marshall? Perhaps he's a closet Poole fan...

secsy1
The main winners tonight are the RIDERS who took a punt at the BOOKIES. Â They know what they did and wasn't pretty or good for the sport. Â Used to think promoters were killing the sport but after tonight,, well????
