stevebrum
Well done the Aces and good for that you you leave the ground on a fighting display and no defeat. Well done to Poole for not losing which I would have dreamed of before the meeting. Sorry to all the whining Poole haters you didn't get what you wanted Great fight back from the Aces but Poole would have took a draw before the match.
Wolfsbane
I believe he took them (the goggles) back off the start marshall on the wind down lap Star Lady. Edited September 28, 2015 by Wolfsbane
TheReturn
Pearson making himself look silly again by not knowing the rulebook.
Lukas
Different rules for Poole though..I remember when they used Proctor illegally against us(pboro) and got away with it..if if the rules are adhered to it will be 4pts not 2...I actualy fancy B.Vue for the 2nd leg now after the comeback they've made. Fromafar
If they are round your neck, you are wearing them and therefore within the rules. It doesn't say how you wear them.Bit Silly really is it not, does that mean you can hang your crash helmet on your arm then.!!
Grachan
Lost me there Graham?. There's plenty of rules that had an effect on the final score. For example, if the ref had brought all 4 back instead of excluding Cook then Belle Vue might have won.
kingbee
a bit different and a bit of sour grapes if they appeal that imo... Common sense should prevail.rules are rules if you don't abide by them throw the rule book away
Star Lady
I believe he took them (the goggles) back off the start marshall on the wind down lap Star Lady. Bit of a misunderstanding. I didn't suggest Newman was wearing them, I was answering Does this mean if you take your goggles off during a race you have to retire!!!!! Bit Silly really is it not, does that mean you can hang your crash helmet on your arm then.!! Probably knowing the speedway rule book
Wackie
Despite doing all they could to throw the tie away in the first two thirds of the meeting, BV came back strong and must have surprised Poole. Credit to Mark Lemon as a team manager to get his club back into it. Anything could happen Wednesday!
ColinMills
both magic and holder both on the edge of gp qualification, don't write aces off yet
New Science
Think a bit of deja vu going on with this tie, as with the semi.Read" all to play for in the 2nd leg" as "great job done by Poole" who will probably win comfortably on Wednesday.
Buttons
I happen to know starke is riding on a 750 - just saying but seriously he has really improved lately That will be ok then perhaps he's had some advice from a certain BV rider,
SUPERACE
Well highly unlikely that we will win it now, but I'm proud of the fight back. It's been a great year at Belle Vue and the club is going in the right direction and has a real positive vibe about it. Zagar and Cooke were awesome tonight. Doubt a draw is enough but it's something to cling too on our journey to Poole.
ColinMills
I wouldn't get too excited. It's like Crumpy said, the best in the world don't look so good on a trick track. Normal service will be resumed at Poole and expecting a 20 point victory or there abouts.if they don't look good on a tricky track, they simly not "the best in the world" then!!
chris4gillian
Ever wondered why people feel so strongly about Poole? Of course you'll try to childishly write it off as jealousy but it's based on people being sick and tired of the 'amazing coincidences' that keep working in Poole's favour, whether it be mysterious engine failures, remarkable positioning of riders in the draft scheme, Poole assets out on loan consistently having mysteriously poor meetings when riding against them, convenient call-offs when riders are absent, matches being forced to heat 10 to ensure Poole get the points they need, strong suggestions of 'insider information' from the BSPA office, arrogance, complacency and being graceless winners. It always goes Poole's way off-track. That's the fault of the rest of the BSPA not standing up to them. Well, it's 'all in the best interests of the sport'. I actually feel sorry for the decent Poole fans who must surely see how their success is being 'earned'. I do not support any EL team but this week I will be 100% behind Belle Vue. If Gomolski has a bad meeting tonight somebody better warn his father.................... Ask your Mummy or Daddy. Many people have had enough of the bilge emanating from Dorset. Sometimes sadly you have to talk in their own language to get the point across. Where have I childishly wrote it off??? And I am one of the 'decent' Poole fans! waiheke1
Sounds like a great meeting - brilliant fight back from the Aces. Still an outside chance away from home Really dissapointing night for the reserves, if we'd manage to match the visitors we'd be heading into the second leg likely 10-12 points to the good. A surprise they were so poor, expected if anything we would slightly outpoint the Pirates at reserve. "goggle gate" - can't see anything being done - "best case" would seem to be deduction of two points (based on previous, even if deducted the Aces won't be given these so just a two point swing not four), but tbh its happenned and i'm not too phased about it. No issue with Dakota North having been given the week off. I've been in situation of being on the other side of the world to sick loved ones, there's not a lot you can do, and I can understand his dad wanting him to stay in the UK for the final. Also no issue with him being out playing golf to try to take his mind off things. It's only because it's Poole that this has been raised as an issue, and admittedly that is their own fault based on their behaviour in the past. Amazed at Zagar's performance, given he was clearly unfit in the GP the other night - fine effort, and hopefully answers those who have accused him of not trying, and those who say the EL would be better off without GP riders. I said before the playoffs that I'd happily see Aces miss out and Poole win in exchange for good news on the Darcy front, if we lose hopefully we do hear some positive news there. (Ideally of course Aces win, and we get good new re Darcy).
robert72
Newman was a complete tool and was lucky he wasn't blinded, I was surprised the ref let the race start, Belle vue should have newmans points taken away before the 2nd leg. The track was shocking for a final but what an amazing comeback from belle vue, superb ending and hopefully belle vue will start with a 2 point lead. Roll on the 2nd leg.
Grachan
Why would he bring all 4 back when it was clear Cook fell on his own?. Correct. The rule that excludes riders for falling off had an effect on the result. The same s the rule that allows double points when 10 behind did. It's ok. I know what I meant. Don't blame Newman. Blame the ref for letting the race start. Clearly a health and safety issue, but no advantage gained from it so why try and get the points removed?
Tsunami
Pleased that Dakota has enjoyed his rounds of golf and so now refreshed. Of course these points are for his dad ! Yawn ! I'm sure the many care homes of Poole will be wreaking the smell of urine once again tomorrow morning because of the excitement of beating 7 other teams in an "elite" (shocking use of a word that should mean so much) league. how many "elite" teams in 2016 ? YAWN
