New Science
Pearson & Tatum going on about track conditions. Decent journalists/commentators would attempt to find out why the track was prepared like that Was perfect according to Simon Stead

heathen chemistry
They must be able to protest, it's not challenging a decision by the referee. Â Newman rode in the race illegally so the SCB have to step in. Â Edward Kennets races were declared by the referee, he was deemed to have rode with illegal equipment afterwards, the situation with Newman is the same. Â COME ON WE ALL KNOW NOTHING WILL HAPPEN .....ITS POOLE !!!
Grachan
I don't see why Newman's points should be removed from that race. It's not as if he gained an advantage. Â Goggles being worn would be a safety issue and the ref should not have let the race go, but once he did I don't see it as an issue really. Â Newman lucky though, because if the ref had insisted he put his goggles on he probably would have been excluded on 2 minutes.

Should the start marshall not have delayed the start?? He is the one putting the riders in place and acknowledging all are ready. Newman clearly wasn't so why put them under orders?
Crazy robin
How can a referee in charge of the biggest meeting of the season not know the rules on goggles. Â What a daft thing for Kyle to do as well as he could've lost his sight or caused an accident. Â Well done to both teams especially Poole's draft reserves & hopefully this will be the final nail in the coffin for the ridiculous way it gets done in the future.

mdmc82
Massive own goal from the Belle Vue track man 😮 Agree. Belle Vue our scored Poole 14-4 in the last couple of heats once the track settled. Imagine the lead they could have taken if their track had been as they usually have it when sky aren't there

Wolfsbane
Whether Newman was brave/silly to ride without goggles and his points from that race should/shouldn't be deducted mustn't be allowed to detract from the fact that BV fell into the 'let's alter the track 'cos Poole like it slick trap'. Silly, silly, silly. Â Middleditch complaining about Worrall cheating in heat 2, priceless. Of course he did, but then you'd know all about that wouldn't you Neil?

But rules are rules and should be adhered to don't you think.Referee to blame most definitely.Whats the point of having rules if they can blatantly be broken and you cant appeal against it so Pearson says. But we have seen results amended many times in the past when rules were broken.

Poole Quay 7
Well done the Aces and good for you that you leave the ground on a fighting display and no defeat.
