damosuzuki
I'd like to put #gogglegate behind me. It's time to move on, accept mistakes have been made and look to the future with renewed optimism etc etc etc. I still think this is an incredibly exciting prospect. Poole the favourites but there will be some great racing with Cook, Holder, Zagar, Newman involved. Hopefully Nigel '5-1 out of the gate' Pearson doesn't have a heart attack and Simon Stead doesn't get too tongue tied.
LisaColette
Surely the SCB have got to make a decision today? If they don't make a statement today it's going to look like they waited to make sure Poole won by more than 4 points before reaching a decision. ? I'm thinking that's what they are waiting for! hyderd
Surely the SCB have got to make a decision today? If they don't make a statement today it's going to look like they waited to make sure Poole won by more than 4 points before reaching a decision. Seems quite clear to me. Newman wasn't ready to race at the expiry of the 2 minute allowance as he wasn't wearing goggles, so he must be disqualified. The 2 points he scored in the race should be removed and the score becomes 46-44. I don't blame the referee for missing the fact that a rider went out without goggles. It's not that easy to see from a distance. BUt why didn't he review TV evidence and make a decision? He used TV replays before excluding Nicholls for tape touching, and before excluding Cook in the first bend bunching incident. Why didn't he use a replay to review gogglegate? That heat was a 1-5 to Poole, if Newman loses those 2 points then that heat would surely of then become a 3-3 making the final score 48-44 to Belle Vue. Not that it will makes much difference, Poole should of won on the night and surely will tonight.
Gemini
..........lionheart......... In Zagars case, a real number 1 is not happy to coast around at the back when he has missed the gate...... Step forward another number 1 ~ Troy Batchelor ~ who is also an expert at that.

Not that it will makes much difference, Poole should of won on the night and surely will tonight. On previous occasions where points have been removed from a rider the points have NOT been added to the other team, which would make the result 46-44 to the Aces. As others have said, they have to make a decision before tonight otherwise they will make themselves look even worse!

Retrospective decision making . Something that the SCB & BSPA have always excelled in.
SteveLyric2
Personally I shall be pleased when the season is over and the trophies are in the cabinet. I can get back to watching some decent TV. I wonder if Speedway will be on 'Gogglebox' on Friday?? Think of the potential new audiences...........!!

SCB
SCB don't need to make any comment, as the result was called on the night by the ref, so that's that. If thats true all BV need to do tonight is turn up with some illegal bikes, fool the referee and hey presto!
tellboy
SCB don't need to make any comment, as the result was called on the night by the ref, so that's that. There has been a few matches in the past that has been called by the ref as you put it.But a month or two down the line results/scores have been altered due an illegal matter during a meeting. If they don't make a comment how will anyone know when they've concluded their investigation, or what the results of the investigation are?
