Ace no.5
Lots of talking points from tonight but at the end of the day very proud of our guys for showing such spirit in such a bad situation. The difference was clearly the reserves (18+4 against 3!). Given ourselves a chance on Wednesday, however small. Fair play to Poole, they turned up with their 1-7 and did the job. As for the "heat 16", "walk for darcy" it was apparently cancelled by the GRA on health and safety grounds. What a crock of poop! Glad we're out of that stadium as don't want to be under GRA instruction all the time! Still plenty of money collected for the darcy fund seemingly.
Starman2006
The main winners tonight are the RIDERS who took a punt at the BOOKIES. Â They know what they did and wasn't pretty or good for the sport. Â Used to think promoters were killing the sport but after tonight,, well???? Pardon. I doubt very much you can prove that. You are on a very dodgy wicket there mate..

Alan_Jones
If that was the case then the result should not be changed as it's no different to a ref missing a tape touch (like last week) or a rider continuing after his chain guard fell off (like last week). Â Losing a chain guard or dirt deflector during a race isn't a disqualification issue, starting without them is.
bellevueace
First of all a massive well done to Matej, i was worried how he would be with his fitness but as well as Bomber and AJ did for us they wouldnt have got near that performance, i dont think there can be any questioning his committment to the club now, he didnt score the points when riding for himself in the world championship but put on the Ace Of Clubs and we got a world class performance. Cookie too was magnificent, it was a great comeback but sadly too little too late, theres no way you can have your reserves outscored by such a margin and win any speedway meeting let alone a grand final so to secure a draw was in the end a good result from 13 points down. The reserves were totally dire and lets be honest have cost us big time here. We resembled Swindon early doors with throwing points away through falls, and exclusions, im just glad that with such a big crowd in we were served up some terriffic races. And as for the track walk what a joke! Cancelled on health and safety grounds, yeah right, i had more chance tripping on the fourth bend navigating the steps in total darkness, having survived that i could have been knocked down in the car park or crossing the road, a well lit track seemed the safest option to me. Disappointing, having survived years of dog excrement i would have taken my chances on the track. Rather than a H&S issue was it the stadium management just being peevish as they have now lost the speedway business? Anyway Weds now appears a pointless exercise, but many years ago so was a certain trip down to Wolverhampton, could there be one last sting in the tail to this season? Having said all that im firmly in the camp that believes the team finishing top of the regular season league table should be declared champions and im not changing my tune just because my side made the final, yes its a disappointment but knowing we actually finished fourth its much easier to accept, fair play to Poole they came and did a job on a track they are not keen on, hope we can be at least entertaining for the fans down there on weds. I hope this is the first step for the Aces to return to better days.

But nothing suprises me with H/S nowadays. Perhaps the stadium management will chuck a couple of grand in the pot for the Darcy fund. But like you say !! Gavan
Correct, its down to the start marshall and the referee. So you cannot lay the blame at Kyles door. End of.stop talking out your backside pillock. The rule is you must wear goggles. He didn't. Therefore he should be excluded it's black and white

Mark
Â Secondly, I am disappointed with the Belle Vue fans in the stadium to keep booing the Poole riders all night at every opportunity. They risk there lives to give people an exciting form of entertainment and all people can do is act moronic. Â A lot of people have some serious growing up to do. RIders don't risk their lives to only give us entertainment. They take risks that they are happy to accept because they enjoy racing, riding a bike and to earn a decent living doing something they enoy..

willstaxi
What an advert for the sport, a great meeting it had everything, a great crowd, good racing, two very competitive teams giving their all and in the end a very fair result. For Belle Vue Zagar was outstanding and for Poole Starke was the man the of the match. Whatever happens on Wednesday, whoever the winners are will know that that they deserve to be the 2015 Elite League champions. As a Poole fan I am hoping for the team to become only the forth team since the introduction of league racing to complete three or more top division titles in consecutive years (the others being Belle Vue 1933 - 34 - 35 - 36 & 1970 - 71 - 72, Wembley 1949 - 50 - 51 - 52 - 53, Wimbledon 1954 - 55 - 56 & 1958 - 58 - 59 - 60 - 61 ) but if Belle Vue win I shall be among the first to applaud them on a great achievement.  GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS
bill94d
As a neutral I thought it was a good night. I will be at the OTA tonight and I can't see anyone living with Cookie if he keeps going like this.
g13webb
I would have thought they would change the 5-1 to 3-3? Or can you not do that? Â Had it been anyone else then, Yes they COULD do that. But as its effects Poole, then it will be swept under the carpet. Again another inefficient refereeing decision that inhibits the sport.. Â Hard to knock Newman as he was a bit special. Takes me think back to last years AGM when he was declared as the 7th best FTR in the league (what a joke!!), just so Poole could have first choice of Starke. That scam, sure came home to roost last night...... Wonder what form of rider order will be employed next year, ??? Â Got really fed up with Tatum telling the ref what to do..... Thought BV shot themselves in the foot. The 2 reserves and Fricke weren't good enough for a final, but their top riders got it back to level. Poole's HL's weren't very good either, but their Reserve's and the Ref, got them out of jail. Â Wonder what shunt, Ford will pull in the 2nd Leg?????? Ben91
The result could be amended surely? Though the ref should know the rules you'd think... Â I want Belle Vue to win the title like most non-Poole supporters but the Pirates didn't cheat last night. Â The Aces' lower order need to come to the party on Wednesday, the reserve points won Poole the meeting last night.
Steve0
Well done to BV on their fight back to get the draw. It still gives them a glimmer of hope for the second leg but you would expect Janowski to up his game and for Poole to win easily on Wednesday but it's not over until it's over!
