Dak certainly fits the first and in the circumstances probably the second at present but somehow A & D doesn't quite fit in with the image of big brave speedway riders does it? I honestly don't see what all the fuss is about just because Dak is simply not up to riding which is very unlike him, I know he is very close to his dad. You'd be the first one condeming Dak if that happened. yep i fully understand that so was Holders head in the right place in the gp? I dont think it was. so as i say why was Holder claimed as a hero for riding by Poole fans yet now the very same Poole fans are saying North shouldnt ride? Not one Poole fan has answered why there is a difference? Its black and white as far as im concerned. Norths father is ill (and not one fan on here disbelieves that or doesnt want him to get better) If its not serious he should ride If it is serious then you would fully expect him to fly home. Name me anyone who wouldnt fly to their sick parents bedside. The fact he was playing golf shows it probably isnt serious. I would bet that if it was Janowski in the same situation he would be forced to ride. Its covenient that it is Pooles most out of form rider. And that alone, in many people's minds, is the nub of the issue. As for flight availability. As a travel agent, I book flights to Australia (and New Zealand) almost daily - I could get him one right now, departing within the next 24 hours, via Emirates, Qatar or Singapore Airlnes. They are two of the most popular destinations for the type of holiday I book (motorhoming). It cannot be a life-threatening injury - else surgery would have been immediate. Suffice to say many of us cannot comprehend why Dak is still present on these shores - particularly given his apparent close relationship to his Father. If he is still here and a guest is used in the final it stinks Every rider is different,look at garrity,most would of called it a night, he carried on despite the huge amount of pain he was clearly in, you can't judge riders as they are different with emotions,pain,ect. The reason Holder was held in such high regard for racing was in no small part because most of us were admitting we wouldn't have been able to summon up the courage and focus to compartmentalise in the same way Chris could. Not one of us (except the most determined idiot) would've had a bad word to say about Chris if he had decided not to ride, bit hypocritical if we don't apply the same consideration to Dak. Looking increasingly like the weather is going to make all this bickering academic anyway.
