TrueBee
I just find it ironic that he has been replaced by a convicted cheater. These scenarios always reassure that my decision to not give any money to sport anymore is justified...

maneacat
FFS I can't believe some people! North's father is on the other side of the world and isn't very well and rightly so Dak's mind is elsewhere. Any compassionate employer would give their staff leave on compassionate grounds - it doesn't mean that he has to travel to the other side of the world! A right cynical bunch and I know I would rather have Dak in the team than EK - it hardly strengthens Poole!! Dak's mind being elsewhere and compassionate leave are not the issue here really - of course it's understandable and should be granted no question but the only professional person he should have been seeing was a Travel Agent not a Doctor. His father is far more important than any speedway meeting and why he chose to ride on Friday evening rather than be preparing to fly to Australia is totally baffling as is the fact that he still has not gone. That is what most people would consider normal behaviour and certainly what I would do if it were my father. Just so no one assumes wrongly I am an aggrieved Bees fan I am actually a Panthers supporter (and Dak fan) and would welcome him back to the EoES at any time.
Starman2006
i am terribly nasty arent i for even suggesting Poole are bending the rules so sory you got all emotional But you cannot prove that. my club are in the premier league so ive no allegiance however year after year Poole pull some sort of stunt to help them out. Only the blinkered choose not to see. But you spend more time on the Poole thread than you do on the team you ALLEDGEDLY support. Your anti poole stance is getting very boring. What does this tell us that we didn't know already. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/13771290._UPDATED__Speedway__Dakota_North_ruled_out_for_Poole_Pirates_after_dad_suffers_accident_in_Australia/ That should be enough. For all we know he may have taken a flight back to aus for a few weeks Your right, though you would've thought at least that could've been made public, all we know is that he has been advised to take time away from racing. That's the thing. I'm sure north is reading all this or at least aware of the accusations. And if he ain't flown home that nobody can defend the indefensible. (Poole fans or me) For the good of the sport I hope we win it :)

Rob VDS
Sad circumstances but if I am going to be honest....I don't think the situation has anything to do with North not riding....As you said I called it right after the meeting on Friday night. Dak has had some very poor meetings as of late against play-off teams....Swindon a few weeks ago and then Friday night....I think MF has finally seen the light and has now realised that we cannot carry any rider against strong teams....Mroczka situation all over again I think. Best wishes to Dak's dad. If Kennett puts in a solid performance then I don't think Dak will be back. I reckon he'll be in the final if we get there regardless of EKs points and if we lose he'll be on the first flight out. Time will tell ☺
Shale Searcher
Is this meeting still on? Have Sky not decided the risk to losing the meeting to the weather, or another "let's get to heat 10 and call it" scenario manifesting.... For what it's worth weatherwise, it's going to rain tomorrow, dry in the morning, then showers breaking out around 10/11am, turning into persistent moderately heavy rain until around 1pm, then returning to showers before clearing the Poole area for around 2pm. It will then be rain free, but not summer temperatures to aid drying. It will be dry during the evening, but a lot will depend on whether or not Poole protect the racing surface, if no covers, it will need packing to within an inch of its life so the majority of the rain runs off and does not penetrate the track to deep. Looking at the weather that's forecast for tomorrow, going on recent Sky Sports decisions, why have they not insisted it be cancelled and rearranged for the Wednesday? I really wonder sometimes......
