My point was that someone cannot be convicted of a crime purely based upon past misdemeanours. Therefore why should Matt Ford's colourful (for want of a better word) past mean that in this instance he has followed the same route?

I notice that nobody has mentioned the BSPA's involvement in all of this...

As they are the rule makers and ratified the use of Eddie (thus absolving Matt Ford from any cheating, wrong doing, underhand tactics, call it what you like) they are the ones you and all the others should be hammering!

But everyone knows that the BSPA is a clique. A bunch of guys ,who, if you are "in" you get everything you want, and if you are "out" then the opposite applies. We are also very aware which side Matt Ford fits, so that tends to pour cold water on your theory in my opinion.

So Belle Vue - not exactly 'pure as the driven snow' in previous incidents - shouldn't have got a facility for Josh G then?????

Or like MF merely operating within the rules!!

Whichever way you look at it and whatever words you use to excuse it, the fact remains that whether it was right or wrong on this occasion, you cant separate it from past history and the present poor state of health of the sport.

If it were not for Fords shady past and this were a one off episode I doubt whether much would be said but when you have someone with Fords history you reach a tipping point where people have had enough and the glamour and excitement of the sport gets tarnished. The average punter doesn't go round examining the rules in microscopic detail. they just think "oh no not again" and a few more walk away each time..

There is a difference between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law . Ford may or may not have broken the rules this time but he doesn't approach the sport in the spirit of the game.

Can we have an end to this? All are very sorry about Dakota Norths father . This has all come about through Pooles serial stunts that make others believe just about anything they do is a scam. If you look at it Matt Ford should be totally ashamed that his past antics leave people with this impression of him and Poole.

What goes round comes around, Crying Wolf, Reap as you sow etc .

I think that's pretty much spot on.

I'll second that !

I've come to the conclusion from participating in this thread (and the Darcy Ward one) that mdmc82 is a real life version of Hyacinth Bucket (ahem, Bouquet) - essentially a narcissistic fantasist, but unfortunately for us, this 'real life' version is much more malicious.

I'll also add that I have never seen a forum more in need of a strong-handed moderator. The behaviour and quite blatant trolling from the likes of Game On, robert72, Gavan and orion, among others (those are the names I think of off the top of my head) is an utter joke. There are certainly some pro-Poole posters on here too who clearly wind a lot of people up (Red Panda, just please quit with the ruddy fullstops! and Starman, you do keep digging holes!), but from my own experiences of being on here I'm mainly seeing Poole-fans on the defensive against an onslaught of bitter fans clutching at straws in their tinfoil hats.

This thread is over 80 pages, and I'd wager about 70+ of them are about ten to twelve posters all being aggressive and confrontational to each other. No-one's opinion has changed. It's literally just page after page after page of the same damn argument. "You cheat". "No we didn't". "You've cheated before", blah blah blah. I'm pretty confident you're all "adults" too, which makes your actions even more sad. All this talk of the sport dying and a lack of new fans. I wonder why? The speedway "fans" on this forum come across as vindictive pieces of work you'd cross the road to avoid. Bearing in mind this is the #1 speedway forum in the UK, and that the new generation of potential fans are going to be digitally savvy, do you think that on seeing the reprehensible behaviour of far FAR too many people in here is going to encourage them to start joining in the conversation, and attending meetings?

If there were better mods then you would have not been able to have the 20 or so names that you use .

A challenge? No just common sense...

Never have I read such rubbish from deluded posters as I have on this subject. You come on here preaching the gospel according to Saint Matt Ford, as though he is the greatest person to walk this earth. So let me assure you, he is no saint in my eyes. Because of his previous history and stunts he pulled, he is a person I dislike intensely. He don’t give a damn about the sport or the people he offends. His only concern is Matt Ford and Poole speedway. Sod anyone else who gets in his way.

This latest stunt is amazing, in that the BSPA and the MC have allowed it to happen. A Speedway Rider is not like any other profession, he is self-employed and his sole aim is to ride bikes. The replacement rules are quite explicit, and everyone expects riders to race every match, that is with the exception of when injured or incapacitated. That’s how it has always been. For Poole to be given a facility to use a guest when his rider is not injured, will now set a president for the future and riders will be able to withdraw from any meeting they don’t feel up to. Yeah, I know he was given a ‘Doctor’s Certificate’, but they’re 10 a penny and mean nothing. When I go to our local Surgery, there’s a list inside the door of all the costings of various certificates. The simple plain one from the Doctor cost £18.50, and industrial one costs £35.00. It’s purely a money spinner and means nothing.

I wonder how long it will be before we hear, Sorry fans, ‘Rider A’ had a real bad Headache, and the Doctor advised him not to fly, But don’t worry we have someone else, ‘Rider B’ taking his place in the team. Before long, teams will be able to field who they like, and whatever fans left, will have no connection with them at all. Thank Matt Ford for that……

The said accident to North Sen. is unfortunate, and I feel for the family. But if Ford wanted to show compassion, he could have rested Dakota and brought in a PL 6pointers for the 2nd leg against Coventry’s depleted side. Everyone would have applauded him for his gesture. But this is Matt Ford we are talking about. He has no compassion, he cares nothing of how Dakota was feeling. All Matt Ford was concerned about was his lack of scoring in the first leg. Bringing in Kennett was corrupt and bent the rules, from what they were intended, but it added illegal strength to the side. This point was highlighted when…. Mildo, the puppet that he is, was asked ‘Would Kennett be riding in the final’ he replied we haven’t decided yet, Not we will wait to see how North is feeling……

Any rider, Dakota North included, will always want to ride a bike. They know nothing else. It becomes second nature to them. Every rider who experiences problems will tell you they need to get back on the bike SAP. If North had received bad news, he would have wanted to ride, just to get away from the traumas inside his head. Make no mistake, Ford did what Ford wanted and had nothing to do with the feeling of Dakota. He was used merely as an excuse…..

A speedway supporter of many years, I have the utmost respect for all riders, including those at Poole. It is a wonderful sport that creates much excitement. Poole was once a genuine club that everyone respected, but not anymore. Ford has seen to that. Every other speedway supporter in the land feels the same way towards them, and they can’t all be wrong. We have been called Idiots, we have been called Jealous, in fact we have been called many uncouth names. But it doesn’t matter. It’s such a pity that Fords disciples can see no further than the end of their noses, because they would then all see the wrongs he contently does…

I don’t tar all the Poole supporters with the same brush……… But they’re a bloody lot I do…

nailed it.... :t:

Haha. Not at all. This is my only account. Feel free to check my IP address and so on. I have nothing to hide.

There is a chance I had another account 4 or 5 years ago when I last engaged with this forum, but I couldn't for the life of me remember the log-in I used, so set up this account. Now I'm living in Dorset and a fully fledged Pirates fan again, I've got back involved into the online speedway community, although as my previous posts have probably shown, not sure I want to be.

Thanks Jacques. I can see you've got over 8,600 posts to your name, which would make you a forum regular I'd assume? And rather than engage with my concerns, you instead make a snide remark and look to exclude another potential member of the community.

You might want to have a look for a sense of humour on top of that soap box of yours!

It's so black and white the situation yet the blue tints just can't accept it. People are sick and tired of time after time year upon year of the same old issues. At some point during a season Matt Ford will pull a stunt that the true speedway fan doesn't like. When these stunts are brought to the attention of a majority of Poole fans they literally cannot handle any form of debate and resort to abusing the rest of us. I say it again if Janowski was in the same situation as North you can bet he would have been persuaded to ride, it just happens that North is woeful at the moment. When you have old man Muddlo coming on tv and saying 'we will see' when asked if using Kennett again it just adds fuel to the fire. His answer should have been simply 'no' as Dakotas dad isn't as serious as first thought. The problem is that Poole fans on here have a larger proportion of prats than most clubs. Starman is quite clearly the clown of the whole forum. I have no issue with foreverblue chris4gillian and all Red Panda and Skidder are is just passionate for their clubs. So Poole fans please for once open your eyes and see what the rest of the speedway world sees. Let's just hope that Gomolski isn't missing at Belle Vue as I'm sure this forum will be closed down!

Sorry if I took your comment the wrong way Jacques. I'll try again. I do genuinely want to have some actual speedway conversations with like-minded fans. The soap-box esque rant is a build up from lurking over the last few months and having a limited post count as a new member and seeing a LOT of Coventry accusations.

I'm looking forward to our clash in the final next week! How many points lead do you think you'll need to get on Monday night to have a fighting chance? Sounds like Zagar will be out still. AJ is inconsistent at Poole... I haven't heard anything on the North situation as to his status. Obviously he's quick around your track, so we'd probably want him to ride rather than use a guest. Of course it will cause an uproar, but I don't think Matt Ford gives a damn about public opinion, so he'll do what's best for Poole Speedway... If we can keep it within 10-12 points I fancy our chances. We've turned in two very different displays at Kirky Lane this year and I'd have thought it was the track that least suited the Pirates of the playoff teams. Hopefully Gomolski's form will carry over to a track he isn't great at...

As regards my investigations into Daks dad they have been fruitful and he seems fit and well.

Have I called the Poole management out?? cant remember that.

Very Conveniently

The straight answer is I'm still working on it.

Do you not think if a person had a serious works accident that there would be some sort of record of it either local paper news etc....

What exactly have I lied about.

You are either very misguided, or plain STUPID, to not know what YOU have lied about. You make a statement that is a LIE and, despite working on it you, have FAILED to come up with anything to support your lies. Reports in local publications that you requested but still in total denial that YOU are a LIAR.

Man up and admit YOUR error or stupidity, before you become an even bigger joke.

On this occasion Gavan, Matt Ford is being unfairly lambasted. You know that I don't agree or condone some of his past antics, however this one is a different kettle of fish, and I say that completely without any blue tinted glasses on!

And there you have it...and as you say it yourself 'the BSPA allowed it to happen' for one reason, and that reason is because it's within the current rules! Your beef should be with the BSPA NOT Matt Ford or Poole Speedway ON THIS OCCASION.

It cannot be made any clearer.

And for the record you have posted absolutely nothing that proves any cheating took place. That is what I challenged anyone to do, and the reason I did that was because Poole have been labelled as cheats by the ill informed among you.

You have to remember that a GRW123 post usually includes a bit of truth, many obsessions, many wrong assumptions, and many emotional wrong conclusions. Most others then try to put him right on certain things, but his audience on this thread will only believe any rubbish he has written. Sad really.

Ahhh! Did you make it down on Wednesday? It was a real shame Garrity was hurt as it killed the tie. Haven't been to Coventry since Martin Dugard won the British GP!!

Way before my time!! No, we stopped home and watched it on tv. Didn't watch it all either we switched it off early. Way to painful lol..
