thecoombdog
Excuse me Kellie Ryan but my name is Dave. Not "WATT". And I'm sorry but if you show no respect for me or my mates, you'll be shown no respect ! Dakota's father Rod has been involved in a very serious accident a few days ago and after the initial surgeries, Dak is still trying to work out what to do. And yes we played golf today, and as Robin Van Der Spiegel rightly said, it's a nice way to take your mind off things for a while ! You're entitled to your opinion, but don't judge unless you know all the facts, and you obviously don't ! I can't post her comments as she's blocked from when we had issues with her before! FFS is gets worse Cheers!
Jacques
So to confirm, Dak isn't riding tomorrow so he can concentrate on his dad but he is playing golf to take his mind of his dad. They're taking us all for mugs and some people are falling for it! As Arson said, riding would take his mind of it too, wouldn't it? I don't necessarily have an issue with Dak, it's the club and their grubby little tactics, that's the issue. They would have probably beaten us anyway, why do you need to cheat....
Red Panda
Davey is hardly going to slag off his own rider is he or say Poole are cheating So tell me please what is the difference between Coventry using a guest for an injured rider (Kylmakorpi) and Poole using Eddie Kennett to cover for a rider that is signed off for compassionate reasons........... Try putting yourself in Dak's shoes and asking the same question............try being more understanding about how something like this affects a rider mentally.............especially when their father was a former rider himself..................would you be in the right mind set to ride at the moment???????? I don't think so........... RP
Arson fire
Who sanctions these decisions?? Fair enough if he didnt want to ride.... But being able to track a guest absolutley stinks? Surely it should be rider replacement.??
Panthers89
Bit different, walking around a golf course with your close friend, hitting a ball, than attacking a third bend at 60mph with 3 other riders after whats happened to Darcy, I know what I would rather Dakota do if his mind isnt quite right. I can't be arsed repeating my self again, I suggest you look back over the thread and especially davey's comments to get the picture. Coventry are having to use a very poor Lindgren in his place and very weakened esp when also no Garrity. North can ride but decided not to he's been in terrible form and luck for Poole they can use a guest who's in great form and strengthens them. Chris Harris found out his nan has cancer the morning of a meeting and still rode. It can be done. Yes but to be fair if he hits a golf ball that isn't under control - that's far less of a concern than riding a speedway bike that's not under control!! Surely you've only got to watch Garrity to know that!!

In my 15 years playing golf, never been hit, never been close. (queue next friday being the first now )
Red Panda
one is injured, one isnt. What about his mental state................or are you one of these people who does not believe that a person can be affected mentally by their father being hurt in an accident thousands of miles from home................of course it is going to be............a riders mental state is just as important as their physical well being................ When I lost my father nearly 2 and a half years ago I was in a very bad way mentally for a while to the point where it affected my work............. Like I said put yourself in Dak's shoes.............there is no cheating here at all............ Well done!Do you honestly think I care what Davey Watt says. The same man who used to blame every track he raced on if he lost. Of course he's going to stick up for Poole. I was just glad I was proved right after she made a mistake by posting the same comment using two different profiles. I got a bit of abuse for calling her out. They way she just carries on is embarrassing and it causes trouble far to often.
