screm
Giving the strength of the Berwick team, this is a PL meeting in name only. Look out for a big home win.

screm
Doesn't seem to be alot of interest in this meeting, we haven't even had the usual mud slinging between Berwick`s finest posters.

Which is the reason behind the big announcement at tonight's meeting which will tell of the merger of two great stalwarts of the premier league allowing Cookie to ride at his favourite track and become a true legend with the third bend crew😃😃

Joking aside, is there a doubt over the future at Armadale? I am aware that the promotion up there has lost money in previous years. Shows how bad things are, if even the top teams in the league are struggling financially.

Would the Edinburgh promotion swap one venue where crowds are dwindling for another. Maybe they could see Shielfield as a more permanent and better stadium to run their speedway than they currently have at Armadale.

We had this before , didn't work then , wont work now . 1996 Scottish Monarchs . A lot of Edinburgh fans wouldn't go because it was at Glasgow , and we went and supported the away team every week until we got fed up with it all . Seriously how many Berwick fans could turn up and support the Borders Monarchs ???????

The hard core support from Berwick and surrounding area would still go, the key for survival would be how many of those who go to Armadale on a regular bases would travel down to Berwick each Saturday, not many IMO. topsoil
Genuine question, does anybody know the reason(s) behind Edinburgh continually losing money? Do they pay excessive wages? Excessive rent? Are they struggling for sponsorship? Crowd levels down? Mixture of all? You would think that a successful team would attract sponsorship and a good following.

Tonight's crowd for the Berwick meeting is abysmal according to the updates, so you`d think there will be money lost for the Edinburgh promotion tonight. 70-20 Berwick smash the 20pt barrier.
