SCB
I'm usually as quick as anyone to jump on the Poole cheating bandwagon but in the case of Dak I can't see it. Sure they replaced him with a good scoring Kennett but following their result in the first leg, they could have had me in the team and still won the tie so they only real advantage they got was the margin of victory. It's the fact that people were talking about him being ill or picking up an injury to miss the meeting due to his poor form and then suddenly he was out on compassionate grounds after a terrible meeting at Coventry. Sadly, Ford/Poole have pulled too many stunts over the years for people to trust him. All some of us were asking for was details, we got them and are content (I draw the line at happy - as I still think for Ford/Poole it may have been a case of making good from a bad situation). As you say, it wasn't needed, they were good enough anyway and thats the stupid thing IMO, Ford often does dodgy things but even if he didn't he'd still be the most successful promoter of the last 20 years, so why has he done these things and tainted his legacy? It seems its in his genes and he knows no other way of doing anything.
ouch
It's my opinion that making the play off final is in Fords business plan and he banks on it rather that has it as a potential nice bonus. It's the only reason I can see that make him do dodgy stuff over the years when as you say there is often no need.

stevebrum
thats exactly what a doctor would say if they were to do a brain scan on you Shame, I'd be interested to converse with you if you could raise it from a primary school level. I know I'm asking too much however. You aren't likely to raise the standard after years of the usual (low, very low) standard.
remembertheracers
I think the only good thing to come out of last Monday will see Batchelor, a loanee, out of the club. Even on good days he pulls off the track when last. He never has been and never will be a number one. To go with him and Medzinski as the top two its a bloody miracle Swindon made the play offs. A real #1 Darcy Ward, lifted them before his sad injuries. Make up with Jason Doyle for starters. Keep Morris and Zengi and get some over 50 tablets for Rosco and teach him how to switch reserves when it needs to be - his achilles heel. Doyley Nick.Zengi those three should be Certs for me next year and Charlie Wright has been decent he also can improve again.
