Normally like we had a few weeks ago when we had the double header that the person who pushes the meeting forward should be the person in charge like a meeting co-ordinator but as i found out its not the referee, I was told that the ref can not put any 2 minute time on while a tractor or personal is on the track, ie doing maintanace, When we was at Rye they grade heat 4, 7, 11,14 and the track is not touched during that phase. The clerk of the course is the man who is ment to make it happen but he also needs some back bone to get it going.

If a rider touches the tape send them round again and let them wait till the tapes are put back its there fault he destroyed it not the public. why sit on the bike and wait thats all time added.

The ref should be allowed to put the 2 miniutes on to allow track staff to get ready, in this league it really does not matter if the race track is like a bowling green it should be raced it as it comes until the riders decide its dangerous.

As towards the european waterting the track are twice as big and twice as wide on the turns but most of the material is different to what we have in the Uk, its more of a Sand, I bet if you have a look at all the tracks in the Uk they are all different colours and all have different material and every promoter will have a different way of watering. There is no point trying to say what we do with the track as we dont know what is on the surface at kent, Eastbourne, Rye House, Lakeside.

maybe as we have all moned next meeting will go through with out a problem.

I haven't moaned but then standing in the sunshine with my cousin, my two sons and my sons girlfriend at Arlington does not seem a chore to me.

The only time I really get annoyed is after an unsatisfactory start when the riders want 5 mins or more to get back to tapes, I believe there should be a 30 second warning to get back to tapes the minute the red lights come on.

I really cant see what the promoters can do about so many incidents.

I cant really comment on track prep as I know nothing about it.

What I do reckon is if all the people who have moaned on here were to become the promoters at Arlington next season, there would be just as many keyboard warriors finding something to moan about at them! Maybe a meeting would run quicker but trust me,,,,,there would be something wrong!

I haven't moaned either. I love my speedway even when Rye get beat convincingly and it takes 3 hours to run a meeting. I do agree with stevec though that they should get riders back to the tapes quicker after unsatisfactory starts. From a fan's point of view that is just dead time wasted.

By the way, mine is a 70 mile round trip to Arlington and a 140 mile round trip to Rye House.

Did you go to the fans forum at the beginning of this year? They ask for volunteers to help run the club. Why don't you go to the one next year and get your name down?
