Starman2006
And to many GP's. Why should the top boys come to the UK for a pittance compared to what they can earn in Poland Sweden and on the GP circuit. I said years ago, the GP 's will be the killing of British speedway. robert72
MONEY (one rider told me he probably earns three times as much in Sweden than in England)... easier just to commute between Poland and Sweden without having to fly in and out of the UK as well as keeping bikes here ... tracks (so much better to ride than most in England)... permanent race nights... just for starters Spot on with the just for starters lol uk speedway is a real mess. this "better tracks" comment that rears its head again? pre grand prix did the best riders ever come up with that argument? did ole olsen, ivan mauger, barry briggs ever dodge Britain? it may well come down to money, but iwont be convinced about the tracks! Tracks have got worse in the UK over the years compared to those abroad.

You cannot just dump it on. Its still not where we want it. But its now riding a lot lot better, as the old stuff is turning over and the new stuff is bedding in.
ColinMills
why hand the national stadium a world cup final if these people on here think our tracks are not up to standard? some wonderful race tracks in Britain, and its an insult to some of our hard working track men....

Wimbourne road has not been great to ride this year so I have been told by a couple of riders I know, it use to be awesome. Tracks use to have a lot of good shale on it and after each race the rakers brought it back, they use tractors now, you can see the lack of shale after 4 heats when the tractor grades it. Man made tracks are getting better
