Cj69
Whose to blame for this then?? Dont blame Glasgow one bit for wanting to field a full team just like id like to see my team Edin and Ply/Somer/Sheff/Pboro all field full strength teams for the pinnacle of the PL season. Instead we have teams/fans bickering over fixtures when it should have been made clear at the start of the season when playoff matchs will take place. If a team signs a rider who may miss one of those days then tough, cant say they weren't given notice. In the end it seems the winner will be who picks the best guest or gets lucky with the weather. Scrap playoffs perhaps? We cant even finish the PT or KOC by september so maybe there is no need for the extra fixtures playoff bring. What I will add is why are pboro are forced to ride but other teams can make their own arrangements. Apologies its not directly about Glas v Ply match but thread seems to have gone past that. A wee Scottish Derby would be my hope for final, mon the Tigs

MANSE
Why cant Somerset and Edinburgh race the K O C Final on the 2/10 and 3/10 getting that completed. Then the 2 semi finals by w/e 11/10 leaving rest of the month for the final. Why is L C final being raced at the end of sept when all the groups were completed mid June. The Edinburgh and Ipswich semi was completed 7 weeks after the other one nobody complained then.Hopefully the days of saying yes to Edinburgh is when it suits us[ rant over ]
Gazc
Both clubs have agreed to the dates,so whats the problem? Seems some Monarchs well one but I won't name him will I Blobby have some conspiracy theory that we are delaying it to arse them about. Funny enough I thought it was Plymouth we were racing and not the smugs therefore dates would be agreed between Plymouth & Glasgow well you would think that would be the case. Halifaxtiger
Both clubs have agreed to the dates,so whats the problem? The problem is there's absolutely no reason why they could not ride this weekend. Why on earth would you leave it until October when there's more chance of a rain off and less chance of recovering if you have one ? This is especially important given the distance between the two teams. Edited September 15, 2015 by Halifaxtiger
Gazc
I guess and it is only my opinion riding this weekend leaves little time to promote and advertise the meetings adequately. Can't speak for Plymouth but the Glasgow promotion are very proactive in driving there product through local radio , papers etc only my opinion mind you. Paulco
Both clubs have agreed to the dates,so whats the problem? There isn't one , unless you like The Proclaimers and support Hibs or Hearts and then Glasgow are up to something again .

Off course you do but seeing as your a good blue nose you are exempt from criticism unlike Blobby waiting on his next rant on the impending asteroid on a collision course with Armadale and how we instigated it.

MD
Got to say I'm disappointed with the pricing policy for the LC Final I've just read about on Twitter. £20 to get in on the day or £17 if you buy online by 25/9. Normal entry is £15. Are we getting something extra for the additional fiver? It appears not. The Edinburgh leg is similarly priced, not that I was going but it seems to me the paying fans are being milked because they can. By all means move the ticketing online then it is easier to gauge the crowd level should it be getting close to capacity but FFS treat us with some respect. Its a £15 meeting with 15 heats where the aggregate winner takes the trophy. I'll think about it!
TheScotsman
Think some of the problem is that half the playoff teams are Friday night teams.

Pogo1
So some people want Glasgow to go to Plymouth this Friday, Palovaara has to practise on Fri for world u21 on the Sat and Sarjeant is racing for Coventry in the play offs, Plymouth would be without there capt Newman too, why race all season to reach play offs and race with 2 guests and RR, c'mon get real, what's the rush this season compared to any other year?
MD
I bet 12 months ago you'd have happily paid £20 to see your team in a LC final! Twelve months ago we had unsurmountable debts and were dead in the water with crowds of 450/500 so yes. That was then, now our poorest crowd of the season has been around 1200, we will likely double that for the LCF and we owe no one. There's nothing I can see that justifies a 25% increase for the same number of races.

You're not dead and buried and you're in with a good chance of some silver wear! 12 months ago it looked like you'd have nothing. I'm glad I get the opportunity for Mick Horton to mug me of an extra £2 on Friday for the EL play-offs! And I hope he can mug me of few more ££ in 2 weeks
