keyham
Ryan fisher has had a mare of a year, started with his wife and kids age 6 and 8 being arrested and held in custody when they tried to come into uk on a valid EU Visa. The kids werte actually in custody at the airport for some 12 hours and were very upset by it. They were then allowed into UK for 3 months and so had to return to US at the end of that time, although I suppose they could have gone to Poland where they couldnt speak the language. Comr the play offs, Ryan would have to remain in the UK for 3 weeks with all the expenses but NO income because iof the way it was so called organised. Over those 3 weeks he would have been spending his air fare home without knowing if he was going to get 2 meetings 4 or 6 . It could have resulted in being stranded in the UK flat broke or he could go back to US to sort his family problems. Over the past 3 tears the Fisher family have really suffered at the hands of UKVI Give them a break May be he did have a "mare of a year", but by what you are saying does not help the matter. In trying to defend the family you muddy the waters even more. You make it sound as though the customs people just sit there and decide ok that family with the two kids. There must have been problems with their entry situation, and that is the crux of the matter. Things happen for a reason and that reason we are not being informed about, so be it. But giving excuses as to not put the blame at the feet of the Fishers, does not help the situation..
SharpenRake
The weather is fine, a bit chillier than recently so track shouldn't dry out - looking forward to a good meeting and hopefully a tigers win by around 8 points.
damosuzuki
Need to drag myself away from MGS5 for this. Will sneak into the stadium and fulton extract the pies. Â Very much looking forward to it, nice day here. Still wide open. For those thinking if we do this we are favs for the final - not so sure. barncooseboy
I am saying that sometimes family is more important than speedway  Would any of you critics sacrifice your family for running around a park or riding a bike  They were assured by people who claimed to know that Daelyns Polish (EU) entry visa was valid to use for the UK entry to any EU country supposed to get you into all.   By the way, I hear Glasgows Female mascot is likely to have a new suitor today
damosuzuki
Well, that was unexpected (by me at least). Turned into a bit of a canter, largely due to Summers, revitalised Lawson, but also points across the board with some good performances from the WHOLE team. Great stuff. Subdued atmosphere after last week but enjoyable. Unfortunately had to leave before the northern juniors which I would like to have seen. Neiminen had a nasty fall and thought it might be collarbone again, but he walked away, thankfully.
MrConceited
Unlucky today the devils but the damage was done when Kurtz was ruled out through injury and then the shenanigans with fisher! You just can't go into a play off without 2 key members of the side missing! Plymouth have to be congratulated on an excellent season surpassing expectations! Onwards and upwards for 2016 and the best of luck to Glasgow for the semi against Somerset! At least they don't have to wait 3 weeks for their next meeting and maybe this should be addressed at the AGM
DJEuan
Was a bit surprised how bad Hansen and Simota were. I know Simota won Ht 14 but I'm sure i recall him scoring decent points at Ashfield on previous visits.

Penny Cross
Fishers rides definitely cost the Devils. Very poor return from R/R and guest. Â At SBA, it was 3+2. Â At Ashfield it was a big fat 0. Â Would have been good for at least 6-7 at home and maybe double figures away. Â Good luck Tigers.
MD
A poor meeting for a play off, the atmosphere was pretty flat. Eklof, Newman and Risager were good value for Plymouth. Holder was slow, Simota was likewise and Hansen should hang his head in shame for taking a guest booking and not trying or turning up with sub standard equipment. His presence would have made a match of it. Â Next week against Somerset every point will count home and away. We dont need what Sarjeant did today, shock horror, jumped the start in his first ride, got a warning for it, did it again in his next and got all 4 back when he shouldve been excluded. Â On a side note, when Richard Lawson was interviewed after ht10 he was asked how he felt about Somerset next weekend when the tie was still wide open. May have been an unfortunate error but came across as quite arrogant and not something we should be doing. Â Bring on next Sunday.
Paulco
Thanks for the beer paulco, good to meet you gazc, hope you beat the rebs and set up an all Scottish final! Safe trip home Lewy , good to see you and Pirate Nick there today . We did a professional job of that today , our three big hitters were outstanding . Glad to see Kauko walk away from his crash , I was another who thought his collar bone was gone again . Plymouth were up against it from the start , though Risager , Newman and Eklof all made a good fight of things . Was disappointed in Jack Holder , he is better than that , and the Devil's guest at number 1 was dreadfully bad . Be much more difficult next weekend I should imagine , but I'm really looking forward to it .

damosuzuki
Hopefully we see a bit better turn out next week (if we are still in the tie). It was the Great Scottish run in Glasgow today and I'm sure that impacted it. Possibly as well if you are short of cash you are thinking I'll go to the semi if we get through. Â Met Lawson and he seemed a very happy rider... great performance and enjoyed the donuts after heat 13. Speedway in Glasgow has been in decline for a while and it will take time - but it will be done. Thankyou Facennas and all involved,
SharpenRake
Think crowd was affected by the road race in the city causing havoc with traffic, still a lot better than last year. Hope they raised a lot of money for the BEN fund. Saw lots of tenners in the buckets. Now on to Somerset can't wait
damosuzuki
Definately - not knocking the run itself, but Glasgow was at a halt. A twenty five minute journey to Ashfield took 2 hours.
