Who Should Get The Gp Wild-card Spots For 2016?

As an unabashed Emil Sayfutdinov fan I'd like to get this year's GP's over and done with, after a Tai/Greg1-2 and see next year's SEC increased to 12 rounds. That way I can watch Emil every 2 weeks  .

Hampel will/should get one if he wants it.

Lindbäck because of his form this season.

Kildemand maybe but spends too much time lying down on the track so I'll give it to MJJ instead.

4th wild card, I don't know, maybe Vaculik, maybe Przemyslaw Pawlicki maybe Dudek.

Imo no other Swede desrve a wild card.

Grigorij Laguta haven't been that good this season and I don't think he is interested anyway.

I also don't think the tracks in SGP suits his riding style, he is a too slow gater .

don't matter how good the others are....Sweden will get priority

Remind me, how many times did Scott Nicholls and Chris Harris get a wild card?

Cant agree with you on Laguta, and lets be honest a quarter of this years field are not all great starters.Lindback a no for me he was eliminated in the qualifier what signal does that send out get eliminated but after gets the big consolation prize. If there has to be a Swede i think AJ should get it,but it would not bother me if we didnt have a swede in the field at all.

3 are already done and dusted, Hampel Lindback, Kildemand (unless he squeezes in)

The other will more than likely be MJJ

Im not worried about having 4 poles as they will add to the excitement but only Hampel at the moment would be any threat for the title

those saying Lindback shouldnt be in have short memories. THJ got in last year by being Swedish Champion.

Wildcards are a good idea to cover for riders like Hampel who were injured during the season.

However, it is too cosy once you get in to the SGP and too difficult to get in.

Only the top 5 should automatically come back the next year with 3 wild cards. That leaves 7 places for the SGP Qualifier and hopefully bring new blood in to the Finals each year.

On that (Lindback) basis, Sidney, Kildemand shouldn't get a look in for a Permanent Wild Card either as not only did he fail to achieve a Top Three position from the Qualifier in Rybnik, but also failed to get through the earlier round in Riga on 27th June when he fell and was excluded from his first ride and then withdrew from the rest of the meeting. Lindback, at least, qualified from Riga.

It normally always is a decision between: political/commercial/geographcal factors; injuries; riders failing from the GP series and; those failing from the qualifiers. Is any better than another? I would fall probably on the side of the injured rider, e.g. Hampel, as, even in pre-GP times an injured rider had a chance of recovering and qualifying for next year's Championship whereas these days an injured rider like Hampel not only misses the opportunity of qualifying by right (top 8) from the GP series but also misses the opportunity of competing in the qualifiers for next year's series. Hampel could well have finished Top Three in the series this year and this probably strengthens his claims for a 2016 PWC.

I think it will be: Lindback, Hampel and whoever finishes 9th & 10th in this year's series.

Because we've got two riders who have qualified on MERIT, and don't need the charity wildcard picks like the Swedes do. ;)

All the best

Rob

Well there you go...we're just so much better than the Swedes aren't we? Damn it, we'll be beating them in the SWC soon as well won't we? I assume that Andreas "Big Issue" Jonsson, Freddie "Oxfam" Lindgren and co. will be seeking refugee status next time they land on our shores.
