Peterborough Panthers 2016

Rubbish. Perhaps Panthers fans didn't know that he was originally a pants gater. So there you are, valuable information.

You'll be able to judge for yourself tonight, i'm you will see how much he has progressed this season, not sure what to expect from him points wise tonight as Somerset have a very strong team but would expect him to contribute and be competitive.

Unfortunately he didn't impress tonight other than his most extraordinary crash in heat 8 where he reared on the outside of bend 2 and literally rode around about 3 or 4 air bags with his front wheel on top of them, most bizarre. Thankfully he walked away unscathed. Only really truly earned 1 point against our no. 7.

When he rode for the Rebels we were all willing him to push on after a good debut season but it just didn't happen. As it showed tonight (but I do hope I'm wrong) he has found a level and that is as a PL reserve at best.

Hope that is a bit more of a value added post for you Flying Panther!

Got your message but I am not flying Panther, it happens he's just come back from a 2 month lay off so maybe he's not fully fit as yet.HE hasn't achieved his 5.58 average by just beating fellow reserves and he's been doing it home and away and looked very impressive, but by all accounts he was not alone in having a bad night . Seems as if the whole Panthers team put up a lack lustre show with very little resistance or were they just overwhelmed by very good opposition ?

I can tell you that Ostergaard bust a gut in all of his races. Really mixed it with the Rebels riders. Similarly, Jackobsen tried his best. He looked fast and gated consistently well throughout the meeting. He had several super races, notably against Paul Starke where the two swapped places six or seven times. He looks a fine prospect.

Cook looked fast, but had a scary fall in heat 5. I understand he blamed the wind for his fall, and certainly that was a possibility as it was very strong. Unfortunately he looked a pale shadow of the man who scorched Leigh Adams 8 year old track record last season.

Apologies NeP. Should have reviewed your post before replying.

So it could be that Tom's increase in average is down to his gating improvement at Peterborough versus his poor gating at Somerset as there wasn't anything wrong with his racing; QED. Hope he carries on where he left off for you.

I have to say that I enjoy NBJs racing at the OTA. Seems to enjoy the track and is very entertaining. Provided one of the best heats of racing ever at the OTA with Ed Kennet last year.

I can remember watching that race on FB, what an absolute cracker it was, was it B Kurtz and Graj for Somerset?

Yes it certainly was. Would like a link if you have one. Should have bought the DVD at the time just for that heat.

aye , the dragons are on fire at the moment .

And that is with one of their reserves struggling right now with the step up from the NL. Did think when i first saw the team that Somerset had put together a very strong side. they are now starting to fire and sending out warnings to all teams .
