Peterborough Panthers 2016

Recommended Posts

I was informed no 7,s will move up into the teams top five if their average demands it but replacing an original no 7 can only be done with another 3.00 NL rider irrespective of his latest GSA.

Is ridiculous, Tom has averaged 5.00 on merit some are struggling to average a point but we have to use them to replace Perry?

No I meant if a team re declares and drops its original no 7 he can only be replaced by another 3.00 irrespective of his current GSA.

Whilst Perry is out and in the 1-5 it's RR with all riders below and one above his GSA taking his rides.

Rider Replacement it is then, however he does have a guest average next to his name on the bspa website

So if we hadn't made changes and kept Porsing and MPT with the new averages in place we would have had to drop Perry or one of the top 5 to be dropped to put Perry into the top 5 to allow bringing in a 3 pointer at NO;7. this is farcical , you couldn't make it up. Only the B.S.P.A. would do something like this.

More Like the BSPA didn't expect the 3pointers to average more than that!

Remember 2006 when Boxall and Armstrong were 'forced' by the BSPA to move into the team from reserve

when they stated at the start of the Season that both 6 and 7 would stay at reserve all season.

I remember it well. Boxall was averaging close to 8.00 when they changed the rules, Armstrong around 7.00

When that happened it was also because Rye and Mildenhall had declared graded reserves in the main body of their teams who moved down as Boxall and Armstrong moved up (Jamie Courtney and James Brundle I believe) so the justification was that there would still be two Brits at reserve for both teams.

As Peterborough have two eligible number seven riders in their line-up now in Perry and Stokes, perhaps the lower averaged of the two has to occupy the number seven slot? Even if so, that should have been made clear at the start of the season.

I wouldn't argue the rights and wrongs on this , my argument is how did it come to this conclusion as no one person seems to know the answer. Have the B.S.P.A. changed the ruling or is this a hidden rule or is there any legality in it at all. Mr Chapman and Mr Godfrey and the rest of your management team I am politely asking for one of you to just clarify the situation . I hope this does not fall on deaf ears as i'm quite sure a lot of speedway supporters all over the country will be interested in the conclusion on this subject.

It doesn’t seem that farcical that a British rider signed on a 3.00 average in accordance with regulations to promote junior riders can only be replaced by a British rider signed on a 3.00 average in accordance with regulations to promote junior riders, it just seems pretty logical to be honest.

It's easy for anybody to draw there own conclusions but they are not rules that's why I am asking for clarification from a member of the B.S.P.A.

It would be logical if that's what the regulations said but they don't, which is the farcical part.

4. Emil Grondal 5.35

Hawkins thinks rider replacement for Perry makes us weaker 😂
