Peterborough Panthers 2016

Recommended Posts

Credit again to ged, cooks a blinder of a signing and 2 exciting reserves.

Even with cook missing from meetings could replace with any rider on the league. Certainly some top 3 now. Might even have a chance in the fours this season!

Nicklas Porsing sounds bitter imo. Nicklas Porsing wont be going back to King's Lynn anytime soon seeing as Nicklas couldn't cut it in the PL.

I'm sure that his manager will post something to clarify the situation and explain where it went wrong.

Be interesting to see if Panthers will be accused of over spending the same as Glasgow, when apparently we signed B Barker for big money. Great for the PL in my opinion that Cook is back, also happy that we have already raced them at home.

Watch the lift that Ostergaard and Jakobsen get now that Cook is in there side of the pits!

Our reserves won't be a problem, Perry been a revelation this season, Just need emil and Lambert to find form, if they can, a top 3 like that, could see us make the play offs.

Guessing Stokes has 4 meetings before averages change and possibly get someone stronger? I rate stokes so think will do a good job.

Riding order:

Cook

Lambert

Busk

Grondal

Ully

Stokes

Perry

I reckon anyway.

As you asked, I will clarify.

Yes Nicklas is disappointed to be let go by Peterborough. I'm not going to go through every meeting he rode. However it has to be remember the boy has never been to any PL tracks before other than Peterborough. It takes times to learn tracks and racing lines. On the plus side, not many have overtaken Simon Stead at Sheffield, yes Stead re passed bend 3 lap 4 but that was years of track knowledge. 13+1 at Scunthorpe, 11 from 4 rides at Redcar. RyeHouse he had no idea on such a small track, but had the commitment to go there to view a meeting a week before P/B visited. Glasgow 2-2-1-R due to steel shoe getting caught in Lawson's exhaust/dirt deflector and twisted an old knee injury. His biggest disappointment was at home at Peterborough. He joined Peterborough having done 2 guest meetings and really liked the grippy track. In 4 home meetings the track has not been anything like it was when he guested. And each meeting this season it has been been different every time. Looking at home scores, it has confused all the home riders. No excuses though he and they couldn't find the right set ups and he should have. Nick understands why Ged has had to release him. With Cook's 10.3 average places had to be made to fit him in the 42pts. But we continue to look on the bright side. A number of PL teams have been in contact. However our sights are now on Vargarna in Sweden, Slangerup in Denmark and Rzeszow in Poland. Nick is now able to do all Rzeszow meetings as before Peterborough meetings took precidence. Nick is fortunate that he is wanted in each country and unlike the majority British riders has teams in Poland, Sweden and Denmark. We have enjoyed are 3 years riding in the UK. We have learnt a lot - good and bad. But we move on and will now concentrate on racing in Europe. He has met some great people over here, and he thanks them and fans who have supported him. It is not easy moving to a new country as a 20 year old - criticism can be hard sometimes to take. But he knows you pay your entry money so have the right to criticise. He has always given 100% and will continue doing so.

I hope that clarifies it for you. End of the matter now as we concentrate on his European clubs. Thank you David Wootton

But has done ok when riding at Eastbourne in the past? can't be too different?

Anyway, speedway is a numbers game and no loyalty these days from either side? Teams need to stick with riders and visa versa..

He's signed his PL contract after the season has started so the EL will take precedence.
