hans fan
The way Plymouth spanked Sheffield on Friday we will get a stuffing aswell. It's one of Ullys best away tracks BUT what else have we got? and I can't see panthers getting anything at home against Sheffield ,Ipswich will nick at least a point , rye house have a few riders who ride our track well (that's no forgone conclusion )
22A
Some friends went to Truckfest yesterday. I asked them about standing in the seated areas. Security immediately told anyone who tried standing to sit down. Some people at the back sat on the backs of their seats to be a little higher and they were told to sit down properly as well. Crump99
Sadly Ive just looked and it looks a real mess with no clear plan. Which isn't a fault of Rathbone because it's been as and when speedway for over a decade now (and often none during the best part of the season) which is why Panthers at the EoES need a sugar daddy. Those who say that they wouldn't want Frost & Mahoney back (and I understand that Bratters suggested that they needed to move out when they first arrived?) need to wake up. With speedway in a mess then F&M will not return. Budget and community speedway at the EoES no longer mix IMO, despite the EoES allegedly wanting us there (under their terms it would appear and with little understanding of our busines). Now that the honeymoon is over after the winter of 2014, is this a crisis or just a blip? Time will tell. Interesting Glasgow thread with a few comments on the cost of their speedway now as they try to up the product, with a Panthers fan happy to pay £22.50 for their top 4 (tongue in cheek I assume) . Panthers fans moaned about £17.50 in the EL so we need to bottle his enthusiasm Edited May 2, 2016 by Crump99

Not even a big team in the PL these days Given our recent history (well 10 years +) that's not a good place to be.

At Glasgow it is just about worth it if I'm honest

I'd say were about 7th or 8th in a list of teams with crowd/riders and general attributes come to play.

mikebaker
Seems like both our teams have fallen from grace having history at the top of the sportSpeedway in general. Not Ipswich and Peterborough.

Paulco
I'm assuming Grondal does better on his home track because yesterday at Glasgow he was dreadful , seemingly downing tools in a couple of his races

New era Panthers
not to worry ,you will have cookie soon . I don't think so , we won't pay silly money for success that's why Ben Barker is at Glasgow and not Peterborough and as you've kindly pointed out so many times Belle Vue is also a Friday night track . So I see little or no chance of him riding for Panthers. Maybe he would be good for us and probably have to make 3 changes to fit him in and with what other riders there are available it doesn't look likely. Shame for Cookie not getting any meetings Belle vue should have come to an agreement with there old landlords to use the greyhound stadium until there new ill fated stadium is ready to use , I believe that is what Swindon are doing and it would have kept riders employed and earning money

Ben91
He'd beat Lambert, Grondal and MPT on a unicycle at the minute To be fair if all three of them can ride a unicycle at once I'd beat them too.
