TheScotsman
Just the one - and he was more a sub than anything else - and wasn't picked when the whole squad were available.
lucifer sam
So is it Perry now down to No 7 (only the protected British riders are allowed in this berth), with only 3.00 replacements allowed while he is out injured? sparkafag
Scunthorpe’s decision to sign Holub and drop him on a 3.00 average is utterly baffling irrespective of any spin put on the move.

lucifer sam
Scunthorpe’s decision to sign Holub and drop him on a 3.00 average is utterly baffling irrespective of any spin put on the move. Holub could only ride at No 6. It left Scorpions weak at reserve. Prior to this season, Scunny could have redeclared with Wilko at 6 and Holub at 7. This season, you can't, because there has to be a protected British rider at No 7. In a way, it's a good thing, because it means the likes of Josh Bailey keep their position all season long. And little Josh definitely deserves that position. The Peterborough situation is curious. I can't see how anyone other than Perry is eligible to ride at No 7. peterborough daz
Don't think it was expected a British reserve would move out of the reserve spot. Well done tom Perry
Alan_Jones
The Peterborough situation is curious. I can't see how anyone other than Perry is eligible to ride at No 7. 18.8 TEAM LINE-UPS a. The Top rider (by MA) must ride at #1. b. The 2nd to 5th riders (by MA) can ride in any position #2-#5. c. The 6th and 7th riders (by MA) must ride at #6 or #7. Edited June 1, 2016 by Alan Jones

StevePark
Although that completely makes no sense why scunthorpe kept him till his average hit 3 then loan him out. Loan fee?
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Loan fee? To Kings Lynn if anywhere apparently.... So much for having to have a NL rider at number 7 then. And he will get a 'protected' heat
peterborough daz
But Perry our protected rider is still in the team and doing very well albeit he's currently injured.

mudflaps
good signing lets hope he's got some good equipment ! Published: 13:37 Wednesday 01 June 2016 Table-topping Peterborough Panthers have snapped up a new reserve talent. The city club have announced the capture of Czech racer Zdenek Holub this lunchtime (June 1). The 20 year-old, who has brief Premier League experience, is on a 3.09 average. Crucially his move was ratified by the British Speedway Promoters’ Association (BSPA) yesterday when his figure was still 3.00 which allows him to fit into the Panthers team. And promoter Ged Rathbone insists it was an opportunity he could not ignore as he attempts to add more firepower to a side which jumped to the top of the standings with two Bank Holiday Monday wins. Rathbone, said: “We had to move very fast to make this move happen and I’m delighted to be able to bring Zdenek into our team. “He is a rider who has been on our radar for a while and he has an excellent pedigree. “He has delivered some excellent performances on the continent and showed plenty of flashes of his ability while settling into British speedway. “I’m confident the East of England Showground track will be right up his street and hopefully he will give us even more firepower down at reserve.” Holub first arrived in British speedway last summer when snapped up by Premier League rivals Scunthorpe on a seven-point assessed average. Holub was again included in the Scunthorpe septet for the current campaign, but he was squeezed out of the struggling side after suffering a shoulder injury in an April crash at the East of England Showground when tangling with Michael Palm Toft, who is now, ironically, a Scunthorpe rider. Panthers have dropped Tom Stokes after only one Premier League appearance to make way for Holub. Rathbone says the local lad will continue to be part of the Panthers set-up. He added: Tom had a taste of what the Premier League is all about and we’ll continue to work closely with him on his development. “He is someone who could well be a Peterborough rider again in the future.” Tom Pery, who is currently sidelined after collar-bone surgery, still classes as Panthers’ compulsory British rider after starting the season on a three-point average. NEW PETERBOROUGH PANTHERS LINE-UP (with June averages): Craig Cook (10.35), Ulrich Ostergaard (8.04), Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen (7.15), Tom Perry (5.58), Emil Grondal (5.00), Simon Lambert (4.38), Zdenek Holub (3.09) Read more: http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/speedway/panthers/speedway-panthers-sign-czech-youngster-1-7410561#ixzz4AKzQhdps
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
So again an 'old' average is used to allow the Pussycats even further over the limit by the time the team takes to the track..... Are you saying the bag of nail Holub is a King's Lynn asset? Or you just attaching that to the Topinka connection? thats what was intimated on the Scuuny thread when he was dropped.
montie
Will make a nice signing for Boro i think,he certainly has somthing about him as a speedway rider, hope he does ok one thing that i do find funny is the Boro promotion were spewing 2 weeks ago about not being able to give Britsh riders a chance,or that was there line, then they drop on after hes has about 10 races!!
