Peterborough Panthers 2016

Recommended Posts

As things stand though there are some fairly useful guests available? Based upon Simons current average of 5.19 you could use Hall, Sarjeant, Rosen, Roynon, James Wright or Robin Aspegren and all should score similar points to what Lambert would achieve either home or away (especially at reserve).

Obviously average changes and availability plays a part but if some smart bookings are made you could play the system and profit nicely.

Will lambert start at reserve? Cos I thought you could only have a guest if it was a reserve or number one missing?

Good point! Although Lambert is largely predicted by some to drop to reserve early on?

I know in the NL you can use a guest if a draft rider is missing on PL duty so it would make sense if the same applied for PL to EL draft?

I thought that the 2015 Regulations for the PL allowed a facility of a Guest, or Rider Replacement, for: an absent No. 1; an absent PL Double-Up Rider; an absent Elite Draft Rider or; an absent Reserve.

If the absent rider did not fall under any of these classifications, then RR had to be used - unless there was more than one missing rider in the team's 1 to 5, when 1 x RR facility should be used and Guests for all others.

The EL has introduced a regulation for 2016 that RR has to be used for an absent rider who is 4th or 5th in the team's averages, to reduce the number of guest riders used, but I can't see that this applies to the PL.

Straightforward really...

So lambert stands down from his lynn spot to commit to ours. Superb commitment shown

sounds more like he was given an ultimatum....

Wonder if he has also been given a gurantee of his place.....

Not sure I'd be overly happy with that if I were a Peterborough fan.

Ok nice to see the commitment from him and fair play, but there's the excuse gone to strengthen up.

I'm sure almost all Panthers fans will be more than happy to have Simon in the team full time. As for an excuse to strengthen up, we already had Simon signed up so why would we want to alter it now just to get close to the points limit. If things do not work out as the season progresses then is the time to think of changes not now. Ged has put his faith in Simon and he in turn has done the same likewise by declining the Kings Lynn offer and like most of Panthers fans i'm more than happy to go along with that

reading between the lines of the various statements i dont see that Simon did decline the Kings Lynn offer - he was announced after very much accepting it.

Only then when the fixture clashes were highlighted and it seems that certain sponsorship on the Pboro side of things was threatened did he change his mind.

So common sense prevailed which ever way you look at it . I'm happy with that and there is no point into trying to see something you are guessing at,,thats called making mischief and we don't want any part in that . Simon has made his decision and that's final
