Peterborough Panthers 2016

Nothing to do with as you put it (being up oneself) , its a comparison & about value for money if it offends you then i'm sorry but you'll have to live with it, perhaps you could enlighten us and tell us how much season tickets are at at your home track

Edinburgh early bird season tickets are £264 with programme. This is 16 matches only and any extra matches are chargeable. Not sure if Edinburgh have to pay for parking?

Hope bjerre gets readypower backing. Could be the best no. 1 in the league if gets back to near best.

And Simon deserves to be back, would be great to keep as many of last years team as possible do we have the team spirit again

Well you better hope that Rathbone, the team manager and the assistant to the team manager can keep Bjerre sweet because team spirit didn't allegedly seem to be a strong point previously. Can't see him dropping down tbh as I'd have thought that he still has ambition, but then again there might be a bigger picture here?

Is that all they play at the Showground?

The grooves must be wearing out now.

Trev and Scotsman

I appreciate that you are both ancient and have been watching speedway since just after the wheel was invented. But it would help immensely, especially for us significantly younger ones, if you could put some of your comments in a historical and cultural context.

For example

Who or what is Jethro Tull? some local peasant who lives between Peterborough and Rye House, who occasionally fill holes in the car park at Rye Houses, or some ancient speedway rider who is rolled out every 10 years for some anniversary or other?

K-Tel is this a historical DJ who pre-dates Blackburn and Wogan or a character from a B-movie Science Fiction Epic?

Trev – is that your only objection to Sunday meetings at the showground? – listening to the radio – you can get a half decent mobile phone that acts as a radio and they have sockets for Headphones too. There are now pre-recorded excerpts you can download to a modern device as well (so no excuse for missing Tannoy Announcements).

What on earth has the permeant “Blue Groove” on the inside of Pool Speedway track got to do with the music played at the Showground. No way is the blue grove going to wear out as it get more attention every week than the rest of the Pool track.

Oh dear - the youth of today.

You obviously missed those lessons at school.

Jethro helped bring about the agricultural revolution by inventing horse drawn agricultural equipment.

Certainly could do with some of that at Rye, Poole and even Peterborough. And let's not mention Foxhole.

But as a "significant" whipper snapper, maybe you are only familiar with the Cornish man (rather than ice cream) coming to a theatre near you (well Milton Keynes anyway) - https://www.ents24.com/uk/tour-dates/jethro-1

If you are not a follower of K-Tel, maybe you are a Ronco man?

If so, here's one of their classic LPs - http://www.ebay.com/itm/I-LOVE-MUSIC-ORIGINAL-HITS-ORIGINAL-STARS-RONCO-1976-VG-VINYL-LP-RECORD-H-/111820602987

Maybe you would like to buy it for them to play at the Showground?
