stevec
Now the temperature has cooled it should be ok. We had a double header on Saturday with very little dust. We did too, two matches against Mildenhall. Well, maybe that's what we should do then, we are running out of weekends after all.
Hob Nob
Whilst I do have some sympathy for Coventry you do need a little luck to win things and the Storm have had no luck at all this season. Personally I would love to see Andrew & Mia's Raiders to end the season with some silverware to reflect all the efforts they put in. Me too, would love for the Raiders to get something from this season. Â Lets hope that John Sampford, Len Silver or the other 3 or 4 different managers they have had since Andrews departure think they deserve any credit, 2015 is all Andrews hard work. Â Come on Raiders do it for Andrew & Mia.
gee jay
Probably because there's more chance, for both teams, of ending the season with a bang in the Trophy than there is against Cradlingham in the Gold Cup. not likely, the eagles have already beaten cradlingham 3 times on aggregate already . only 1 team has given us a tonking and that was kings lynn, so i'm glad they're not in the mix. Ben91
Why didn't Eastbourne win the league then?
catinthehat
Eastbourne were beaten in a few matches away from home :0), with Dugard, BWD, Woods, never every seeing some of the tracks and now spiller so it was going to happen, but have to say they have all done well, lets hope the team for next year is going to be even better. Â Ah so the veterans Wajknecht, Wilson and Banks won the title for Birmingham then after doing many, many laps round the league circuits over their long careers.
stevec
I gotta jump in and help catinthehat here as I think it looks like he is trying to find excuse for not winning the league. Â The reason is very clear, in the early part of the season we were getting close but not winning away and much f the time it was due to falling while leading races. Its that simple in my mind. Â I think we have beat everyone on aggregate (even Kings Lynn) so hence the confidence that we can do anyone in the cup matches, especially as we seem to have hit our best form at the moment. solrac
The Eagles had the opportunities but didn't take them (should have won at Birmingham and Mildenhall but didn't. Only drew at Stoke) so fair play to the Brummies for winning. Â Weather permitting Eastbourne should win the Gold Cup, Knockout Cup and National Trophy as they currently have, in my opinion, the best 1-7 in the league. Â If they do then it's been a great season with the rather glitzy end of season do around the Amex Stadium to come.
catinthehat
i am not sure but is that true that Eastbourne have won the last 10 meetings home and away? if you go on that record things all being well they should have a good run to the end of the year

gee jay
Why didn't Eastbourne win the league then? because birmingham collected 3 more points than eastbourne why do you think ? doesn't alter the fact 2 times met home and away = 2 aggregate wins Edited September 15, 2015 by gee jay

Gatwick Rocket
I'm looking forward to this meeting. The last Rye vs Eastbourne meeting was great entertainment in front of a decent crowd. Hope a good number of Eagles fans get along. Â What has the weather been like at Hoddesdon ?
