Fromafar
his head had been in the elite league all season, gave me the impression it was a chore to ride for worky, couldn't be bothered to do a victory lap when winning a race, so yes looks like pastures New for Mr howarthnot really progressed much in the last couple of either IMO

monkey56
Young Nathan has gone to Sheffield, hope we manage to get Matt Williamson & if Mason gets his permit this year they could make a good reserve pairing. madsteve
I think that we need a big hitter at number one - cook preferred. I think Matt Williamson will return but I can't see mason being back.
comet49
If Mason qualifies which he should he's likely to be back. It was said earlier that they'd made a commitment to him.

If only this much commitment was made to young Brits instead of crap Aussies.
SCB
If only this much commitment was made to young Brits instead of crap Aussies. He should have to come back on a 7 point average. Let's see how commited they are then!
jenga
so that's it then . let all the aussies in on a 7 and scrap the top four qualifiers in each state. sorted, its that easy. forgot to add, workington made the commitment to him and not the other way around... that's commitment from workington .. Lord Lucan
If Mason qualifies which he should he's likely to be back. It was said earlier that they'd made a commitment to him. Comets management shouldn't make commitments to riders who couldn't cut the mustard when they had the chance, sorry, may be a nice guy but, not for me!! If only this much commitment was made to young Brits instead of crap Aussies. Agreed, but not just crap Aussies!! He should have to come back on a 7 point average. Let's see how commited they are then! Only to the asylum if it happens, been there done that, time to move on and try something new!!
comet49
I think he'd do better esp if starting at reserve, he is an asset too.

The whole point of the top 4 of a state final thing is to prove they're good enough and not the dregs. If you let him in on a 4.5 average you're basically saying he's on a bargain average as he's meant to be a top class performer. It how it work until about 7 or 8 years ago. Django
I think that we need a big hitter at number one - cook preferred. We have a proper number 1 in Ricky, performs home and away, not many riders in the league have a bigger average than him

It how it work until about 7 or 8 years ago. if a guy qualify s in the top 4 of a state championship he is eligible to ride in the uk. mason should make the top 4 somewhere in aus and therefore gain a work permit for the uk . finishing in the top 4 does make it possible to race in the uk if you have a 4.5 average or a 6.99 point average. so the criteria for a uk work permit is rubbish. once again the D.W.P. and the other thing has put together a mickey mouse rule , any guy could make the required top 4 finish. turn out to be a duff or a wee cracker. .. bargain average .. there is no such thing. Ben91
I wouldn't be happy going into the season with Ricky Wells as my number one personally.
comet49
Last season besides Cook only Lawson (some didn't want him either)' King and Kennett finished higher than Ricky. Cook's gone Elite and Steady is not certain to be back. Kurtz, Lambert and Garrity may improve but so may Ricky.
