Sings4Speedway
Makes sense its peeing down at the moment. Never going to be the strongest line up if it features all the Kent riders. Add in the end of season awards and its definitely set up for a home winner on the night (im such a cynic)
Wiseguy
Called off again Unsure why as it has not rained for a few days, and is not raining today. Maybe some forecast later, Has to be one of the worst individual meetings in history anyhow

Sings4Speedway
Any further updates on the line up for this one? Can all the originals still take part? Saw James Shanes pull out of a grasstrack at the weekend with an injury any further update if he is ok?
catinthehat
Seems no Eastbourne riders are in the meeting, guess Len wanted to make sure that his one of his assets wanted to win.

How do you know they weren't invited and turned it down?
catinthehat
I had a word with them when they came to Rye House last Saturday, but Woods being local lad would have got a few from the local area, BWD is Hurt, Owen is only an Hour away, Hopwood too far away and Richard Andrews the same, and of course Spiller being 800 miles away in Germany lol but with his performance last time i dont think Len would have asked him
Ben91
Nobody will turn up now that none of Eastbourne's über stars are going to be there.
catinthehat
Shame really but i guess that Len wants to show some silverware apart from the Pairs which the club did well to win, Seems a big shame as i would have gone if an Eastbourne rider was in it. Sings4Speedway
With the event preceding the Kings after season party it was always likely to be set for a home winner / top 3. With the puddle duck express sitting it out I can only see a 2 horse race between Morley & Ayres which Morley ought to get the better of but you never know in speedway. Not sure if there is any other news on the line up other than the meeting reserve who has ridden whenever Kent were in need has been overlooked and a 16 who decked it in the youth rounds has been brought in. Im sure Len will be thinking he has found / signed the next big thing like with Jack Smith......oh wait.......!
catinthehat
As far as i am aware that Smith has fallen into the Birmingham Camp. Might not have given him the contract to sign as he can float from club to club till next year but as far as i am aware he is going to Birmingham. No way was Jack Smith coming all the way to the south east corner to ride for Kent but he was given a huge fan fare when he made his league debut for the Kings (at Perry Barr). As much as I admire the work Len has done for the sport over the years he is dangerously out of touch with 3 point riders and if left to pick the team again next year I fear more of the same. Ben91
Silver has nurtured Tai Woffinden no less during the early stages of his career, you really think he'd use that to his advantage when signing or trying to sign young riders. Sings4Speedway
Nurtured / gave an opportunity to after Scunthorpe had given him his break. If Len has only just become aware of Jack Thomas it shows how detached he is! He has done loads of MDL this year!

Of course, to pick Rye when he had his choice of PL clubs speaks volumes for Len, well at the time at least. That in itself is a huge selling point for Len and he should be able to use that to Kent's advantage.

He's been impressive too, for his age, so he's been hard to miss if you take notice of MDL! Edit: I've just read the Kent site, I see what you mean. Sings4Speedway
He's been invited after his performance at the Rye youth round and had stated previously that there are no good 3 pointers around which is why kent have stuck with this season's under performers. Jacks a good lad so hopefully for his development kings Lynn snap him up!
