Chewbacca
I have a slight concern that; there is a new housing development up the road from the stadium and its been pretty well known that William Hill have been loosing money on the dogs for some time now, could it be sold for housing? Strange that they spent a lot of money renewing the terracing if that was the case.
ruffdiamond
Strange that they spent a lot of money renewing the terracing if that was the case. whatever they spent, would be clarty rags to someone like William Hill,,, who would just shaft the price of the land up to 'absorb' any losses,,, then the supermarket purchaser would just pass the price onto the customer, its simple business maths
Terrace Grumbler
Maybe the diamonds are going to relocate to Sunderland!!! Well that would suit me, but from memory the dog track at Boldon is different from how it was in the 70's - if I'm right there is no open terracing at all now, anf if so it would be watching speedway from a goldfish bowl I recall someone saying (years ago) that the rental would be very high, and there's also the question of planning permission. I wouldn't much fancy going back to Monday nights, either.

proud panther
Be positive, it will be announced that the Worrall twins & Lewi Kerr are spearheading the Diamonds next season.
dantodan
EH well maybe George will announce that we will have 3 heat leaders next year and 4 national league riders. Seriously I only hope that the announcement clearly states we are running next year and... The Worralls are to lead the team .AH ok I want Bjarne back too

dantodan
Yeah Lightning is great to watch but really only at Brough. We need a team that puts out two good reserves in heat 2 and two good heatleaders for heats 13 and 15. The Twins can cope with hts 13 and 15. and Tero would be great at reserve if averages permit in 2016 But please don't bring back Anton. I think he needs to stay at home and get his confidence back maybe then he could knock on the door again. So what will George announce? God knows! The White Knight
Plus Sunderland Dogs is run by William Hill, so pointless switch in that respect. Crucially though - they won't sell it for development. Superb Stadium with, admittedly, limited viewing from the Terraces - would still be possible though. The only question would be, does the Boldon Stadium want Speedway? Up until now the indications have been less than positive I have to say. Things may have changed though, over the last few years. don't forget 'Lightning' WHO? Edited September 16, 2015 by The White Knight
ruffdiamond
Yeah Lightning is great to watch but really only at Brough. God knows! up until last week's programme, he was overall our best away performer, but only Lewis Kerr has averaged more than 'Lightning', but with far less matches away from home,,, and BTW, there all good when their winning WHO? P!SS OFF,,, al deal with you later, lol

acclennell
don't forget 'Lightning' nah need to change imho it's ok being entertaining but no use having a rider as a heatleader who gets beat off reserves as often as he has done.We need riders who will regularly contribute consistently away as-well as at home. For me LL, AR and CH need to be nowhere near the team next year and build from there. Must admit I'd be ok with the two twins and the two Lewis's returning also - big year if the team is running as need to be going for i otherwise i really thing the sport will be gone. ruffdiamond
As a second string certainly wouldn't argue on that to be fairCould fit them all in, take up about 30 pts in team building,,, dunno about PL having 'fast track' reserves next season, as that could be the deciding factor, they could be the key ???Edinburgh done it this season, with a 7 pt man (Sedgmen) as a 2nd string, so it is possible,,, Edited September 16, 2015 by ruffdiamond
