ZODIAK
All this riders are earning bugger all nonsense, why do they do it then.Top end PL riders are taking home good money IMO .Sponsership is important though.Id say most earn a living in different variables but I agree with T B that a fair few of the lower end riders who aren't scoring many points are struggling to break even. I also agree with you that sponsorship is very important particularly to the youngsters. Some talented lads have been forced to give the sport up simply because they've had so little support that they couldn't maintain competitive machinery. Sub standard machinery means few points which means a continuation of sub standard machinery. That seems to be a problem for a lot of British youngsters who don't seem to get the same backing as some of their foreign counterparts. I know Adam Ellis' father was cheesed off that his lad was struggling for sponsorship while foreign imports with fancy names (and no more talent) were picking up British based sponsorship instead.

Well said hkp. I'd like to see a back to basics approach. Maximum 2 or 3 foreigners in each side, although I think most accept that this wouldn't happen overnight. Standardized equipment, having said that wasn't the Honda experiment at Sheffield a few years ago a disaster. As I understand it isn't ermolenko working on a new machine. Oh and not the first time he has let on about team plans when asked.... Hope Mr Hilton has more luck with the 2016 team... After all they not favourites for the title! TB1
I suspect we will all be surprised by one or two of the signings. The problem is that when we sign a new rider, their form suddenly nosedives. stu219
To be fair if we have signed Lewis Kerr I would expect is average to go up as he rode a lot of last season at number 1. He is more likely to be at number 3 or 4 for the Witches , making for easier rides. I dont know anything about our possible number 7 so can't comment on him. Lewis Rose, if he is our number 6 is more than capable of improvement also. Stefan Nielson could be the crucial one and I believe with the right backing he is also capable of putting a small amount onto his average. This is all guesswork though as we have no official team announced yet.

Has it been confirmed anywhere who is Ipswich TM in 2016?

Has it been confirmed anywhere who is Ipswich TM in 2016? The last three team managers,Messrs smillie Simmonds and Hilton all made glaring tactical errors. I seem to remember a number of years ago, Coventry were dead n buried until a Hancock lead 8-1 steered the bee's to victory. Everyone in the stadium could see it apart from the TM. In any case if someone suitable can't be found why can't CL or JL do it.

Has it been confirmed anywhere who is Ipswich TM in 2016? As has been said before, what can sometimes look to us in the stands or us sitting at home watching the updates that the team manager has "dropped a few clangers", is not always the case when you're in the thick of the action down in the pits. I remember when Phil Hilton was getting pelters on here early on this season, when he didn't use an on fire reserve (Covatti) as a tactical later in the meeting which definitely "cost us points". It subsequently came to light that Covatti was suffering with clutch problems and at the time the tactical was needed he wasn't ready. I'm not saying Phil Hilton hasn't made any mistakes, the bloke is a human being so of course he has. Just like every other team manager we've had in the past and just like every other team manager we'll have in the future! T B, Chris Louis tried and quickly gave up the managers role after admitting he was struggling to get the best out of the team so I don't think he fancied it either. Pob
Are you lot speaking in some sort of code ? Getting a bit miffed here , every other team up and down the league seems to be naming riders and still us Witches fans are left with if's but's and maybes . But after the so called leaked team from last week none of the mentioned riders in that team have been signed by anyone else .
