Baldyman
That's what I'm saying. It's not a good way to go.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I think this fits - King Barker Covatti Worrall Ellis 3 pt 3 pt
Super Blue
For any top heavy team to succeed you will still need to find someone in the lower order that really ups their game to win anything ( like Nico did this year) If they don't you'll just have a team that's there or thereabouts in every meeting never picking up maximum points. I must admit that alot of the suggested top heavy teams so far would probably produce at least 40pts per match but would the lower order take the totals to 50pt+ enough times. I'd have to double check but I don't think we had a 4pt away win anywhere in the Premier League this year and when you combine this with the inconsistent home form we were never going to win titles! dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Great minds and all that!! Just a shame that Worrall and Barker already seem set up elsewhere though. Plus I dont think Chris will go down the route of either again anyway.
Baldyman
Shame really, cos that's a silverware winning team, shame we are gonna have to settle for less.
ZODIAK
I'd like to know why Roland seems so confident on Kennett. Rolando?
Badge
Surely one of the things you should be factoring in, when picking teams, is trying to find the best riders still owned (!!) by pl teams, remember how frustrating missing Danny and Stefan was this year. (just saying)
ZODIAK
True enough Badge and I agree it's very frustrating. But King has been an excellent number 1 this year and you could argue that he's been more than worth having and missing the odd meeting here and there. Would you go for someone like King knowing he'll miss a few meetings, or settle for a lesser rider whose guaranteed to be there every week? I'd keep Danny but to have Eddie and Adam too plus ash, that could be half your team.

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Absolutely no idea!! For me though it would leave us too exposed at the bottom end going that top heavy. Of course it depends on whats voted as a points limit and for the make up of the reserves - ie will there be a 'draft' at 6 and or 7. ZODIAK
Oh thought you'd heard something too Would be some spearhead though wouldn't it? Don't think it's unreasonable to think you could get 25 points most meetings out of King and Kennett alone. Factor in Covatti who wouldn't be at 1 OR 5, and throw in around 8 points from him, and you're looking for 13 points from the remaining 4 to be winning meetings. 4 from Ellis at number 2, 4 from the remaining member of the 1-5, and then 5 points between the two reserves and Bob's your teapot we've just won 44-46 at Embra. TB1
It's a fair bet to say that there will be little or no change with the rules or regs. The promoters will continue to jolly while Rome burns. I do feel that most arguments on this website are academic as I am afraid chaps that little or nothing will change. ZODIAK
From Jon Cook on the Lakeside website "Adam Ellis will be going out on loan by mutual agreement to a track more suited to his development at this point”. Very good news from the lad's perspective. We know he doesn't enjoy riding there that is no secret, so hopefully he finds an EL track that will see him firstly enjoy his racing more, whilst also helping his development. Hopefully he returns to Foxhall also as IMO he has an average he could definitely improve upon.
Baldyman
We could see even more missing riders next year with belle vue also becoming another Friday track. We really need to pick our double up riders carefully. Although it will be even harder for premier league Friday tracks.
Aries
Could we afford a spearhead of Kennett King and Covatti? Sounds rather expensive to me.
