TheScotsman
it won't stop them... Better move Sheffield up instead of them then.
New era Panthers
Has to be Peterborough to stop them whingeing all the time. Has to be Peterborough to stop them whingeing all the time. TheScotsman
I agree Sturgeon is a pain in the a*rse like the panthers' EL tub thumpers. I never voted for her though. Sammond & Sturgeon - fishy combination if ever there was.
Baldyman
I guessed at it being Glasgow Ipseich Rye House and Peterborough Oh yeah, forgot about the panthers, that's why I said somerset.
Baldyman
I think maybe Sheffield aswell could be an option. Talking of options, what do the ipswich faithful think about moving back up? That's if it is an option of course. Edited July 1, 2016 by baldyman
spanner47
If it's a realistic league with no GP riders, and a sensible fixtures list then yes. Speaking to those that were at the Kings Lynn trial meeting, the majority appeared to want something along those lines.
Baldyman
So it's been mentioned about maybe a take over of the club for next season. I wonder if that's the direction they want to take the club, but maybe there are other offers aswell that may like to keep the club in this league. That's if there is more than one interested party of course.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
IMO you need one of two things to consider taking over a speedway club 1 enough money that it doesn't matter if you lose it all should it not work out. 2 to be completely bonkers. Whoever fits the bill for one of those is in the running.....
Baldyman
Ha ha I agree completely. We can all do bonkers😉
Pob
We've all got to be bonkers to turn up every week ( when we actually have a meeting )
Baldyman
You mean once a month then, if ya lucky.
Pob
About right , just looked back over the fixtures not good really too much of a gap We rode Thurs 19th May then Sat 4th June and then Thurs 9th June . Ok we lost Newc 23rd june to the weather and the next home meeting is Thurs 7th July . So from the Thurs 19th May to next Thurs 7th July is 7 weeks and we only had 4 planned home meetings and one of them was not our normal race night as it was a Sat meeting , you can see why people are not happy what ever happened to Thursday Night it must be speedway at Foxhall ?
TheScotsman
Why did you move away from Thursdays?
Alan R Horne
Speedway at Foxhall on Thursday nights is a must in my eyes and Louis must be nuts to think Saturday with all its other attractions is better. But thats CL for you full of the wrong ideas. Yes Ive heard from a very reliable source that a local businessman who is loaded wishes to take over the Witches and also take them back to the glory days in the ELITE LEAGUE. If CL lets that happen which is far from certain then I for one will be VERY pleased as Im fed up of empty promises from CL that has happened ever since dropping us sadly into the boring PL. Baldyman
Just to play devils advocate, what if said business man doesn't want to take club into elite league?
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Just to play devils advocate, what if said business man doesn't want to take club into elite league?will there be an elite league?A 2 division PL+ seems all the rage at the moment.... Siggytastic
You can keep the Elite League in its current format. Look at the team Poole has out tonight.
screm
You can keep the Elite League in its current format. Look at the team Poole has out tonight. Or the Kings Lynn team at Belle Vue.
Baldyman
So 2 divisions of equal standard. Can have proper promotion and relegation play offs
