Ipswich 2016

The 2 year rule was only brought in last year and not back dated so 2014 not part of it.

Danny is able d/u next year without a problem.

Of course if it suits then at the agm at the end of 2016 the rule will just be dropped for 2017!!

TBH that "rule" has probably already been forgotten about!

The "rules" did previously state a rider with an Elite league average of over 6 could only ride in the Premier League for 2 seasons, I suppose we'll find out soon enough as to whether Dannys half season in 2014 counts. If it does we'll be looking for a new no1, if not I'm sure he's nailed on to be a Witch.

Of course we still have the 2nd half of the agm on Nov 3rd to screw things up as they usually do!

Another year of golden opportunity missed to rebuild the sport from the bottom up.if a number of teams struggled this year, how is that going to change with the same format next year. It's a bit like making a flat loaf of bread as you have forgot to add the yeast. But on the next attempt you forget the yeast and think that sugar is a better option!

Probably because 4 of 13 want 1 good thing another 4 a different good thing and the other 5 something else.

Some will not vote for what certain others want even if it may be good as it doesnt suit them so a lot of what could be good never gets voted in.

So they come up with a paper over the cracks half baked idea thats nearly good but not quite but is one they can all vote for.

It all rumbles on a little different but not quite right and they do it all again next year....

Bit like fans on here. Some accept lower points limit as good for the future, and others expect Promotions to blow their brains out trying to afford top riders that those fans demand.

totally agree - to an extent it just human nature.

Even the promoters (and ex ones) are human - just! wink.

Hmmm just been told "team all done and dusted"......

so thats why you had a week off - to sort it all out for Chris! lol

1. D King 9.54

2. S Nielsen 4.74

3. N Covatti 7.55

4. C Wilkinson 5.33

5. B Barker 7.56

6. A Ellis 4.67

7. Z Wajtknect 3.00

With that team you's find Ellis moving into the main body of the team very quickly swapping places with Nielsen.

You are probably right. But if your business is going down the toilet wouldn't you change the way you do things. Regional leagues with less travel has surely got to be the way forward to cut costs. 6 man teams with 32 point total average has to be the way forward. Not because I want to see a weaker product. But because the sport needs a serious reboot. As I stated earlier how on earth do the likes of Scunthorpe and Berwick survive if nothing changes. They both threatened to pull the plug. So presumably both promotions are satisfied that nothing has changed and will carry on haemorrhageing money until they fold.

I agree plenty clubs moaning about losing money andI can't see why it won't be the case again this year.AGM has came up with nothing .Imo

It seems like the custodians of the sport are burying their collective heads in the sand. Tinkering about with draft riders and the up and coming riders etc is an admirable cause but the format and presentation is in need of a drastic revamp and many excellent ideas have been floated on the various threads. Do all they want with riders etc but if , as is currently the case you do not reinvigorate the sport, those fans/supporters left will soon drift away and all the behind the scenes changes will count for nothing. Collectively the AGM has put another nail in the coffin of what was once a good sport to follow in this country. How far down are the BSPA prepared to let things go before some changes for the good are made?

That's the question that should be asked, why doesn't anyone change anything for the benefit of the sport?. Why is it always short term plans? I have a feeling most of them don't actually care, because maybe it's just a play thing to them?

It's no good when you are drowning in the garden swimming pool, to look at the grass and think I should cut that next week.

AGM should be looking, not at rule tinkering, but at how to get MAJOR sponsorship, proper advertising & how to get the sport better represented on Media ; i.e. why no-one has mentioned a Brit World Champ? All others seem to get mentioned.

of course the fact that the world champ isnt active in a UK league could be a stumbling block if using that as leverage in any talks.
