Aries
Not getting into the playoffs is expensive? Is getting in the play offs a money spinner? Not convinced. You'd probably save more money on a cheaper team that didn't make the play offs than a team of big hitters that did make the play offs. Don't think the crowd levels would differentiate too much to make a difference in either scenario. You'd think both King and Kennett would be on top dollar and to include both in your team would undoubtedly be expensive.
ZODIAK
I'm warming to the idea of King Kennett and Covatti. Can't see it happening to be honest but it would be interesting to say the least.
Panthers89
But then having 3 riders on a 4.50 or less is cheaper, so makes up for it....... I can't see why Rye would let Eddy go after securing him as an asset last season.
Arch Stanton
Wouldn't get your hopes up on Kennett. Not sure if Roland is being genuine or on the wind up but it looks a bit far fetched to me. If both King and Kennett are riding for Coventry and Lakeside respectively, they could both be missing for a number of Friday meetings which would cause a major headache. But then having 3 riders on a 4.50 or less is cheaper, so makes up for it....... Dont think so. There wouldn't be a major difference in pay between a rider on 4.5 and a 5-6 pointer. In fact you could probably pick up a few 6 pointers on cheaper money than some of the lower end riders. What's certain though, is Danny King and Ed Kennett will be two of the best paid riders in the PL. With Louis putting out what seems to be a lowering of expectations exercise in the local rag recently, claiming it's a task "just keeping the club afloat" and stating an expensive brand new air fence needs to be brought, I'd be very surprised to see Kennett joining King at Foxhall. ZODIAK
I disagree because Rolando said he's signing. So welcome to Foxhall Ted
Pob
So if Kennett comes would that mean no to King . Which one would you prefer if you had to choose ?
Pinny
King everyday surely? Kennett known for bottling heat 15.
ZODIAK
King everyday surely? Kennett known for bottling heat 15. That definitely seemed to be the case, but he seemed to get over that as the season progressed. King and Kennett actually have had very similar careers and there's never been an awful lot between them over the years.
Baldyman
Could louis afford to put together a cheap team that again doesn't challenge for honours? I could see even more spaces on the terraces.
mickthemuppet
Pure rubbish saying Danny King and Eddie Kennett in the same Witches team . They would not finish any higher with those two than the team did this season
ZODIAK
Wouldn't say that either! It depends if a diamond or two can be uncovered on low averages. I remember just about everyone saying Poole were far too top heavy when Holder and Ward were on huge averages and they wouldn't win a bean with their long tail. They then walked off with every pot going! Finding that diamond is a must though. Another 4 point Covatti would be ideal..

Bash
I heard Kennett's name being mention at the last couple of witches meetings as he doesn't want to carry the Rye House team again next season if it is like the last two seasons. Pob
Ok time to play around again with a team 1 - D King 9.54 2- A Rosen 5.07 3- R Worrall 6.84 4- NB Jacobsen 6.91 5- N Covatti 7.55 6 - M Clegg 3.48 7 - N/L Draft 3.00 But with all this talk of Kennett would totally be wrong with that team

Didn't, as he's had a change of heart since then and said he'll definitely be back at Rye House.

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
It seems Chris will be involved in how the programme to develop young Brits is structured and finance distributed. Does that mean we get first dibs on any rider then? wink
Baldyman
No Poole still get that even though they not in this league.
