Swindon End Of Era Meeting.

I did mention that Peter had a meeting abroad on his schedule, about a week ago, which is still on his schedule and he is in the line up on Sun, so not sure what is going on.

Well Sam Masters name has now popped up in 'our side' tomorrow and no PK...doesnt say he has replaced him but o figure...really is a poor line up and how they can say it's a fitting send off god only knows...yes a load of old riders are attending as guests but surely that's the minimum you would expect for a farewell to speedway in Swindon meeting

I'm sure it can't be the promoters that are 'misleading' anyone. I mean its only Matt Ford that nobody believes .....apparently?! :D

Alas I can't get to the Abbey stadium today much as I'd like to be there. Never mind though for I will maintain many happy memories of my visits there from here in Kent and some not so good ones, the pick of the latter being the time I stupidly lost my balance walking down the slope near the turnstiles, fell over and busted my hip BEFORE the meeting and consequently missed it as was carted off to hospital! ;) Hope everyone going today has a good time.

Think Swindon need him more than he needs them as he's not going to be short of offers.

Doyley said at Somerset on Friday that he was definitely returning to race in England in 2016, but as yet was undecided about who he would be riding for.

He also confirmed he had received several offers from British clubs.

Well that was a bit of a dull afternoon out.

I thought there would be a bit more atmosphere about the place today with it being the last meeting at the Abbey. Swindon fans even found it hard to muster up a boo for Bratchelor.

Great to see the youngster's getting a go on the mini track, and Ermolenko's new engines being tried out in 3 races after the main event. Riders didn't seem to have any problems with them, and they weren't that much slower than the normal bikes, quieter too which may be a positive if the sport goes forward.

Really hope the Robins do get their new track, but it seems a big ask and very little was said today about the new stadium etc.
