Crazy robin
People forget that if the likes of Garrity, Newman etc go into the main body they will race against each other & the new reserves so should be okay.
Trees
Kyle Newman still has an average in the 6s at PL level so it's clear he's not genuine EL class. Garrity you could argue for. Newman's PL average doesn't add up given his EL form, this cannot be taken into account, at a guess he doesn't have such good gear in the PL? Falcon Hammer
The current tier 1 group of draft riders are close to the pre draft reserve standard so it's time for a change. Go back to the pre draft race format with the following changes. Heat 4 becomes 5,6v5,6 Heat 12 becomes 3,6v3,6 Heat 14 becomes 4,7v4,7 Only allow 6 to replace 7 if the team is losing by 6 or more. No7 remains at 7 all season, the rest of the team move around based on their average. Bring in something like foreign riders will have a minimum 6.5 average for team building and team order. Great post - Maybe allow FTR's to move up on a 3.00 ave, with a lower points limit
Steve0
Great post - Maybe allow FTR's to move up on a 3.00 ave, with a lower points limit Absolutely not - they should move up on their converted PL average which is in the rules - anything else would give a huge advantage to those teams who have the Garrity's, Newman's etc. Garrity on a 3 - you are having a laugh!! SteveLyric2
3.00 is an unrealistic assessed average for the EDRs moving up!! But I don't agree that their PL average should be used as its irrelevant as to how they've performed in the EL. Assess them all at 4.50 for a 2 or 4 EL position.
Steve0
3.00 is an unrealistic assessed average for the EDRs moving up!! But I don't agree that their PL average should be used as its irrelevant as to how they've performed in the EL. Assess them all at 4.50 for a 2 or 4 EL position. And there the manipulation of the rules begin. All riders who progress from PL to EL get a converted PL average - why should ex-FTRs be any different - given that they have been protected at reserve for a couple of years. Weren't their PL averages used to get their positions in the FTR draft - from which certain teams benefitted. So enough of the manipulation and just a fair conversion from PL average and not an arbitrary figure that will benefit some and hamper others! SCB
Just use their current EL average. Find the average average of the tier 1 riders who will be riding at no6 next season and add that to whatever the 5 rider limit is going to be to make a 6 rider limit. No fiddling or fudging and covers the strange anomaly between some of their EL and PL averages. Makes perfect sense. So watch them fudge it! Tbf it will need some tweaking as rumours suggest the EL could grow next season so you need to take that into account.
