tocha
Roundabout if Batcholar was all I had to worry about I would consider myself to be a very lucky boy. Just a gentle reminder to people it's Speedway, a kind of Sport. Let's take it for what it is. Not really worth getting up the jacksey about or indeed falling out. Some may say there are big issues out there to be concerned about. Batchelor Boy is the least of your worries. You need to fill two of the shadows in the side, all four if you are going for a squad. We've only 1 place to fill and it's now becoming critical, Batchelor is the least of our worries
Sings4Speedway
Thursday nights are a disaster for me too, plus a fair number of people I've spoken to who have other commitments that night, and either can't or won't change them. With being used to Wednesday night as 'our' speedway night, you build the rest of your social activities around that, as I, and many others have done over the years. If one of those activities decides to change its day of action, then you are faced with the dilemma of dropping whatever activity you were involved in that night, or saying goodbye to the activity you were doing on the new night. At the moment, I know of eleven people who will be lost to speedway on a Thursday night, and will only attend the few meetings we've got planned for the Saturday night. Unfortunately, apart from one of them, they won't attend 'Young Stars' meetings, which as you and I know Whippy, are way more entertaining than Elite League meetings, so that's ten people that will be completely lost to speedway at King's Lynn this year that I know of, which is tragic to be honest. As things stand today, I myself can't attend any Elite League meetings this season, so how thankful am I, that the 'Young Stars' will still be operating on a Wednesday night? As I've said in postings on Facebook, I'm Chairman and Captain of a sports team that operates on a Thursday night, so can't walk a\way from that. When the change of race night for speedway at King's Lynn was announced, I immediately contacted my sports league committee, requesting to change my clubs home match night from a Thursday to a Tuesday, but this fell on deaf ears. However, after getting together with each club in the league, it would seem that they are happy for me (us) to make that required change on a 1-year trial basis. We have our AGM next Tuesday, and I will know then whether I'm lost to speedway, or whether I can continue to enjoy both activities that I've done for all of my adult life, so fingers crossed. Hats off to you for trying to move things around so you can attend. No way I would be that fortunate. Also a huge shame that there are a selection of fans that refuse to attend a NL meeting. Would be interesting if a couple of NL meetings were made free entry or free entry with a valid EL ticket would convert a few?
Mimmo
Hats off to you for trying to move things around so you can attend. No way I would be that fortunate. Also a huge shame that there are a selection of fans that refuse to attend a NL meeting. Would be interesting if a couple of NL meetings were made free entry or free entry with a valid EL ticket would convert a few? There's been some opposition to me making the change, even on a trial basis, during the course of the weekend, so all I can do is wait with baited breath until tomorrows AGM. I so much don't want to be lost to senior league speedway, even though as I said in my original posting, I prefer National League racing, as it's been my life since 1958. I think someway should be looked at trying to get the EL fans to the Adrian Flux Arena on the weeks that only the NL team are operating, but just offering a free programme won't/isn't an incentive, because so many people don't bother to buy one these days anyway. It's like any publication in life, you can read or find out anything you want to know on the internet beforehand. Being one of the old school, I admit to liking a pukka programme, but do concede that just a race-card for say 50p would suffice in this modern age, which is what so many print off for themselves now anyway, just to save a few quid, in what is an expensive night out for a family. It's not easy trying to convince people to attend National League meetings if they don't want to go, but if they did try it, they might just find they like it more than they thought they would, and go again. Clubs definitely need to speed proceedings up also, if they want to encourage new people along, because if I was a newcomer, and saw 15-mintes of action that took 2-hours or more to completed, that would be my first and last visit!! Whatever they try, if in fact they do, and I'm talking about any club here, with the exception of possibly Buxton, who are very slick, its obviously not an easy task.

Shale Searcher
Phil I presume... Now Jason Crump is now how old? If he was to make a racing comeback, would he choose the BEL? Or would he go Euro, Sweden or Poland for regimented fixture lists, rather than the (topsy turvy, any night) we have? He would be a decent 2nd heat Leader here after a few meetings to blow off the cobwebs... What average would he come in on do you think? When speedway is in the blood, it's damn hard to get it out!! Reviresco
Now Jason Crump is now how old? Jason turned 40 in August last year and has been riding regularly in Australia since Boxing Day. He won all his qualifying heats in the Tex MacDonald Cup at Kurri Kurri on Sunday, before losing out in the 'A' Final to Rohan Tungate, and is taking part in the D-Dub #43 Cup (benefit meeting for Darcy Ward) at the North Brisbane Junior Motorcycle Club on Saturday. EDIT: to add clip of JC winning Heat 1 of his Invitational Cup at Kurri, passing Sam Masters, with Rohan Tungate and Mason Campton in third and fourth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PTx66pkFVk Edited February 2, 2016 by macca56
beckettlion
If he's over the age of 40 he's more likely to sign for Leicester. We've gone with experience over youth this year!
flagrag
I did hear around Christmas time that Leicester had offered Crump a deal May-Aug as they had a GP rider who was prepared to do UK until Sweden starts and the the GPs become regular.

Reviresco
Notice not one Lynn fan has commented lol I simply posted that Jason had been riding regularly since his Invitational Meeting on Boxing Day and anyway I was a Stars supporter in 1982 - not missing a single meeting home or away Good Luck with the search for a No.1. I hope the change of race-night transpires to be worthwhile. I know a few people who won't be travelling up from Suffolk for Stars' home meeting now and will be getting their EL fix at Arena on Fridays instead. Speedball
Considering Dale Allitt tweeted Crumpy this morning asking if he fancied a comeback, it's safe to say it's highly unlikely he's returning - https://twitter.com/daleallitt/status/694488473231847425 The one thing I would say was IF Crumpy did fancy a comeback, you know it would be because he would be competitive. He wouldn't be happy with going through the motions. Just can't see it happening but wouldn't be the first time I was wrong. Would certainly add some interest! Haza
Well that would be a rabbit out of the hat signing we have all talked about but in reality will it happen ? I doubt it
Daniel Smith
Crump wouldn't be good enough as a No'1. He'd probably be 3rd heatleader at best. He'd get bums on seats to start but wouldn't last for long. Saying that, he's better than what we've got now i.e. nobody at No'1.

Lol lol will remind you of this post when your moaning about Kenneth if we was to sign him .In reality I doubt Jason is even in the picture for a return but don't doubt his ability if he was to return to racing he would be good without doubt .
