Simon Lambert confirmed...

Also states the search for the last heat leader goes on.

Certainly need a very good number 1 now,as close to the points limit we have left which is close to nine(8.81),assuming Lambert is a 3.00.Which he should be as he was in the second round of picks. We have the weakest reserve pairing in the league in my opinion.

Still find it amazing that Buster would let Kerr go to a rival without a fight and now to compound matters he brings in Simon Lambert. If Chapman doesn't find this elusive big hitter then he is asking for the floating fan at Lynn to give it a miss. The regulars will be there come what may, no doubt. Fingers crossed they can pull something out of the fire, but with a little over 6 weeks to go the signs ain't looking good. After all how weeks has it taken them to announce Lambert in place of Kerr

Poor team so far. Only Troy and Robert will improve! Need a big hitter at 1 if not we will be near the bottom

Troy will improve? Wouldn't bank on that. Unless of course he discovers his bottle again.

Just to share, Simon Lambert EL average for last season was an impressive 2.87 from 20 matches for Leicester Lions.

I do feel the No'1 will need to knock in maximums week in week out to keep us in meetings as the reserves will get pummelled

Simon Lambert is a good signing he is the best we could hope for after losing Kerr.

Agree, it's probably the best signing for the Stars, given who was left.

Can't see many Stars being happy with what looks on paper the weakest reserve pairing.

Both will do OK at home tho I'd expect.

Interesting that the comment 'no timescale' is made for the last signing.

is it possible they will seek guests until a number one becomes available? ?

Given that the heat leader list goes away with the first set of averages, you have to wonder if some of the remaining heat leaders have already got positions lined up elsewhere. Wouldn't surprise me if the likes of Bjerre already have a place lined up at a team that already has three heat leaders. No information, just a hunch.

Id be surprised if that wasn't happening to be honest. Coventry look like one that could make a change like that.

Well as most people felt we should play by the book so to speak, this is probably the best other reserve we could come up with.We do need a very good number one though as you say to knock in big points every meeting.Wonder if they can persuade some top riders to do a month or two each.
